Abstract This invention relates to improved method of manufacturing both side finish fiber reinforcement plastic (FRP) trims. Method comprises of: Preparing master mould; preparing die by applying fiber reinforcement plastic (FRP) material on said master mould by using suitable reinforcement means, applying clearance means on said die, applying fiber reinforcement plastic( FRP) material on said clearance means provided on die to prepare punch, separating die and punch units and removing clearance means from the die surface, laminating surfaces of both die and punch with fiber reinforcement plastic ( FRP) material, Clamping said die and punch together, releasing the fiber reinforcement plastic( FRP) trim by disassembling said die and punch after curing ,polishing the fiber reinforcement plastic (FRP) trim to get good surface finish, method of manufacturing both side finish fiber reinforcement plastic (FRP) trims further comprises of: preparing die by using modeling board ,applying clearance means on said die applying fiber reinforcement plastic (FRP) material on said clearance means provided on die to prepare punch, Separating die and punch units and removing clearance means from the die surface, laminating surfaces of both die and punch with fiber reinforcement plastic( FRP) material ,clamping said die and punch together, releasing the fiber reinforcement plastic (FRP) trim by disassembling said die and punch after curing, polishing the fiber reinforcement plastic (FRP) trim to get good surface finish.

PREAMBLE TO THE DESCRIPTION
The following specification particularly describes the invention and the manner in which it is to be performed

FIELD OF INVENTION
This invention relates to fiber reinforcement plastic (FRP) trims and method of manufacturing the same and more particularly this invention relates to improved method of manufacturing both side finish fiber reinforcement plastic (FRP) trims and fiber reinforcement plastic (FRP) trims manufactured thereof.
BACKGROUND OF INVENTION
Generally trims are used in automobile industry to manufacture various units such as fenders, front panel, rear panel, doors etc. of prototype and trims are used :
a) To replicate the exact outer component of vehicle
b) To hide the panels
c) To improve the noise vibration harness (NVH) of the vehicle.
Fiber reinforcement plastic (FRP) trims manufactured by conventional method are having a surface finish only on one side. i.e. the surface which is seen from outside. But surface which is hidden or inside is not having good surface finish.
The conventional method of manufacturing said trims comprises:
a) Preparing master mould, the master mould prepared is in a negative or a positive form depending on the shape of the trim,
b) If the master mould is in a negative form then directly laminating the surface of master mould by applying the ingredients like wax polish, white gel coat, epoxy resin, hardener & fiber reinforcement plastic (FRP) mat etc.
c) If the master mould is in a positive form then a mould is made from this master mould. The process of making the mould is same as that used for making a trim.
d) Reinforcement is provided to said mould by wooden structure

e) From this mould the one side finish fiber reinforcement plastic (FRP) component is made. The drawbacks associated with the said method is
a) The surface finish of the fiber reinforcement plastic (FRP) trim is poor.
b) No consistency in the thickness of the fiber reinforcement plastic (FRP) trim.
c) Weight varies from component to component of the same type.
d) In case of critical shapes or deep grooves both side finish fiber reinforcement plastic (FRP) trims are difficult to manufacture.
e) These fiber reinforcement plastic (FRP) trims are not strong enough & break easily.
OBJECTS OF INVENTION
The main object of the present invention is to provide method of manufacturing both side finish fiber reinforcement plastic (FRP) trims.
Another object of the present invention is to provide both side finish fiber reinforcement plastic (FRP) trims.
Yet another object of the present invention is to provide fiber reinforcement plastic (FRP) trims with uniform thickness.
Yet another object of the present invention is to provide the fiber reinforcement plastic (FRP) trims with intricate, critical and deep grooves features
Yet another object of the present invention is to provide the sufficient rigidity to the fiber reinforcement plastic (FRP) trims to undergo the different tests.

STATEMENT OF INVENTION
Method of manufacturing both side finish fiber reinforcement plastic (FRP) trims comprises of:
a) Preparing master mould;
b) Preparing die by applying fiber reinforcement plastic (FRP) material on said master mould by using suitable reinforcement means
c) Applying clearance means on said die
d) Applying fiber reinforcement plastic( FRP) material on said clearance means provided on die to prepare punch
e) Separating die and punch units and removing clearance means from the die surface
f) Laminating surfaces of both die and punch with fiber reinforcement plastic (FRP) material
g) Clamping said die and punch together
h) Releasing the fiber reinforcement plastic( FRP) trim by
disassembling said die and punch after curing i) Polishing the fiber reinforcement plastic( FRP) trim to get good
surface finish.

a) Preparing die by using modeling board
b) Applying clearance means on said die
c) Applying fiber reinforcement plastic (FRP) material on said clearance means provided on die to prepare punch
d) Separating die and punch units and removing clearance means from the die surface

e) Laminating surfaces of both die and punch with fiber reinforcement plastic( FRP) material
f) Clamping said die and punch together
g) Releasing the fiber reinforcement plastic (FRP) trim by disassembling said die and punch after curing
h) Polishing the fiber reinforcement plastic (FRP) trim to get good surface finish.
SUMMERY OF THE INVENTION
To manufacture side finish fiber reinforcement plastic (FRP) trim, a die
& punch is required.
Master mould is prepared by using conventional method.
Die is prepared by applying fiber reinforcement plastic (FRP) material
on said master mould by using suitable reinforcement means.
Clearance means is provided on said die of thickness equivalent to
thickness of fiber reinforcement plastic (FRP) trim.
Fiber reinforcement plastic (FRP) material is applied on said clearance
means provided on die to prepare punch.
Die and punch units are separated and clearance means is removed from
the die surface.
Surfaces of both die and punch unit are laminated with fiber
reinforcement plastic (FRP) material.
Die and punch unit are clamped together.
Fiber reinforcement plastic (FRP) trim is released by disassembling said
die and punch after curing.
Fiber reinforcement plastic (FRP) trim is polished to get good surface
finish.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS
Referring now to the drawings wherein the showings are for the purpose of illustrating a preferred embodiment of the invention only, and not for the purpose of limiting the same.
Figure 1 : shows the schematic diagram of the assembly of die and punch along with clearance means.
Figure 2 : shows the schematic diagram of the both side finish fiber reinforcement plastic (FRP) trim after dissembling the die and punch.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF INVENTION
To manufacture both side finish FRP trims (1) as shown in figure 2, die or master (2) is manufactured on which wax sheet (3) is applied to make a punch (4) as shown in figure 1 and figure 2.
A both side finish fiber reinforcement plastic (FRP) trim is manufactured as
follows;
A master mold is required to produce a fiber reinforcement plastic (FRP) trims.
The master mould is made of materials like modelling boards or wooden
materials.
Die and punch are required to make both side finish fiber reinforcement plastic
(FRP) trims.
If the master mould is made from modelling boards then the same master mould
can be used as a die.
Once the die is ready, the said die is finished to get a good surface finish.
Clearance means such as wax sheet is applied of thickness equivalent to the
thickness of the required fiber reinforcement plastic (FRP) trim.

A wooden structure is prepared on the surface of the die that acts as reinforcement for the punch.
The surface of the die is laminated or hand layed where the wax sheet has been applied.
After lamination the wooden structure is placed on the laminated surface of the said die and one more layer of the lamination is applied again, so that the structure gets bonded with the punch.
After curing locations for the die and punch is created or prepared before releasing the punch.
These locations help to assemble the die and punch by any clamping means during lamination of the component.
The punch is released and separated from the surface of the die. The wax sheet is removed and the surface of the punch is cleaned to get a good surface finish. The surface of the die and punch is laminated and it is clamped with suitable clamping means. After curing, the die & punch is disassembled and the component is released or taken out.
The extra surface of the both side finish fiber reinforcement plastic (FRP) trim is trimmed and it is polished for getting a good surface finish.
Suitable co lour is applied to paint the component and assembling it at the required position.
Advantages
a) Fiber reinforcement plastic (FRP) trims have a good surface finish both side and good appearance.
b) Overall uniform thickness of the fiber reinforcement plastic (FRP) trim is maintained.
c) Weight of the fiber reinforcement plastic (FRP) trim is close to the weight desired by the design.

d) Critical shaped fiber reinforcement plastic (FRP) trims can be easily manufactured.
e) Fiber reinforcement plastic (FRP) trim is rigid enough to undergo the different tests.

It should be appreciated that this embodiment is described for purpose of illustration only, and that numerous alterations and modifications may be practiced by those skilled in the art without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention. It is intended that all such modifications and alterations be included insofar as they come within the scope of the invention as claimed or the equivalents thereof.

WE CLAIM
1. Method of manufacturing both side finish fiber reinforcement plastic (FRP)
trims comprises of:
a) Preparing master mould;
b) Preparing die by applying FRP material on said master mould by using suitable reinforcement means
c) Applying clearance means on said die
d) Applying FRP material on said clearance means provided on die to
prepare punch
e) Separating die and punch units and removing clearance means from the die surface
f) Laminating surfaces of both die and punch with FRP material
g) Clamping said die and punch together
h) Releasing the FRP trims by disassembling said die and punch after
curing
i) Polishing the FRP trim to get good surface finish.
2. Method of manufacturing both side finish fiber reinforcement plastic (FRP) trims wherein said master mould is made by using wood.
3. Method of manufacturing both side finish fiber reinforcement plastic (FRP) trims comprises of:

a) Preparing die by using modeling board
b) Applying clearance means on said die
c) Applying FRP material on said clearance means provided on die to prepare punch

d) Separating die and punch units and removing clearance means from the die surface
e) Laminating surfaces of both die and punch with FRP material
f) Clamping said die and punch together
g) Releasing the FRP trims by disassembling said die and punch after curing
h) Polishing the FRP trim to get good surface finish.
4. Method of manufacturing both side finish fiber reinforcement plastic (FRP) trims as claimed in claims 1 to 3, wherein said die and punch are assembled through the provisions provided on said die & punch and are clamped together.
5. Method of manufacturing both side finish fiber reinforcement plastic (FRP) trims as claimed in claims 1 to 4, wherein extra surfaces of the fiber reinforcement plastic (FRP) trims are trimmed.
6. Method of manufacturing both side finish fiber reinforcement plastic (FRP) trims as claimed in claims 1 to 5, wherein suitable colors are applied to the fiber reinforcement plastic (FRP) trims.
7. Fiber reinforcement plastic (FRP) trims manufactured by the said method for manufacturing both side finish fiber reinforcement plastic (FRP) trims as claimed in claims 1 to 6.
8. Prototype vehicles manufactured by using trims produced by method of manufacturing both side finish fiber reinforcement plastic (FRP) trims as claimed in claims 1 to 6 ,

9. Method of manufacturing both side finish fiber reinforcement plastic (FRP) trims substantially as herein described with reference to accompanying drawings.
