| Abstract | A seurity system fore luggage such as suitcases, briefcases and the like comprising a center lock and two side locks provided on the fromt channel of the luggage, the said center lock comprising - amultilever tumbler body having a plurality of grooves, accommodating therein a pluralityu of saring loaded levers with angular arresters and and sxial key way, a camp cum pinion with a key slot provided at the front sideof the said tumbler bldy, a tumbler body , pair of rack and end piece assembly provided in the front cahnnel of the luggage, the said pinion teeth engaging withthe teeth of said racks assembled on either side of the pinion for moving two horizontally inopposte directions, a pair of balls procided adjacent to and supported by the said cam for engaging into the gap of thelocking hook for locking the center lock on a quarter rotation()-90) of the key, on a further quarter rotation of the same key in thesame direction (90-180), the said pinion teeth engages with the teeth of said racks, pushing the said locks, therby locing the said two side locks together similarly first quarter rotation of the key in opposite direction opening the two side locks together and next quatter rotation opening the center lock. |
