Title of Invention | A DEVICE OF CIRCUIT JAMMER OF SELF STARTER |
---|---|
Abstract | An interlock circuit has been developed to prevent the self starter to restart by the operator / driver, when the engine is in running condition, protecting the self-starter and fly wheel gear from being damaged. Once the engine is started, the alternator starts delivering the current and the magnetic switch starts functioning making the circuit normally open and battery is disconnected from supply. |
Full Text | 2 FIELD OF THE INVENTION The invention relates to the development of an interlocking circuit of self starter for light / heavy motor vehicle / mobile equipment to prevent any damage to the self starter, fly wheel gear of the engine during running condition. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION Sometimes, the driver / operators of light / heavy motor vehicle / mobile equipments may start by mistake the engine of the vehicle through self starter, while engine is in running condition and as a result pinion strikes the fly wheel ring gear causing damage to self starter and fly wheel gear, which is very costly in respect; of repairing / replacement / down time of the vehicle or the equipment In this background a novel circuit has been developed in the present invention, incorporated in the existing circuit of the self starter to 3 eliminate the hazards of restart of the engine in running condition. The novelty of this invention is with the logic of NO/MC contacts which has been described in detailed description supported by schematic diagram. OBJECT OF THE INVENTION - The object of the invention is to develop an interlocking circuit in the self starter of a motor vehicle / mobile equipment to prevent any accidental damage - Another object of the invention is to prevent the self starter from restarting white the engine is in running condition - Further object of the invention is to develop a simple device incorporating NO / NC contact with minimum cost 4 - Also the object of the Invention Is to minimise maintenance / down time cost of a vehicie or equipment SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION An interlock circuit has been developed to prevent the self starter to restart by the operator / driver, when the engine is in running condition, protecting the self-starter and fly wheel gear from being damaged. Once the engine is started, the alternator starts delivering the current and the magnetic switch starts functioning making the circuit normally open and battery is disconnected from supply. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE ACCOMPANYING DRAWING FIG: 1 shows the schematic drawing of the interlocking device in - corporatlng the Engine, Alternator, solenoid valve, magnetic switch, Battey, Push button switch, NO / NC contact, solenoid valve, magnetic switch, 4st switch, self starter. 5 DETAIL DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT The prime embodiment of the present invention is described through the schematic diagram as per Fig-1. The initial power of the vehicle / mobile equipment is supplied by the battery (8) when the Push Button switch (7) is made on, through 'NC' contact (6,) 4st switch (4) and self starter (3) in firing of the engine (1). Once the engine (1) starts, the shaft of the engine, through fly wheel rotates the alternator (2) to generate captive power required for the vehicle or mobile equipment. The alternator current in turn excites the solenoid coil (5) to activate the magnetic switch (9) which makes the normally closed contact (NC) 6 to normally open (NC) 6' to de excite the self starter circuit in running condition of the engine. The battery (8) in that position is 6 not able to continue supply power to the starter through (NO) contact 6', even if, the push button of the starter (3) is pushed by mistake, which is termed as interlocking. When the engine stops, alternator stops automatically generating no current flowing through the solenoid coil (5) of the magnetic switch (9). As a result spring charged contact comes back to its original position NC (6) from NO position (6*) and the engine can again be restarted by the self starter through battery power. 7 WE CLAIM 1) A novel device of interlock system in the self starter circuit of light / heavy motor vehicle and mobile equipment comprising: - engine (1) - alternator (2) - self starter (3) - solenoid coil (5) - NO/NC contact (6'-6) - Push Button switch (7) - Battery (8) - Magnetic switch (9) 2) The claim as claimed under claim (1) wherein NO / NC contact (6 - 6'), operated by magnetic switch (9) having soienoid coil and bar (5), preventing self starter circuit from enerzising in running condition of the engine. 8 3) The interlock system as claimed under claim (1) and (2), substantially described under detailed description along with the enclosed drawing. An interlock circuit has been developed to prevent the self starter to restart by the operator / driver, when the engine is in running condition, protecting the self-starter and fly wheel gear from being damaged. Once the engine is started, the alternator starts delivering the current and the magnetic switch starts functioning making the circuit normally open and battery is disconnected from supply. |
