Title of Invention

MOSQUITO REPELLANT COIL PACKING KIT CUM STAND

Abstract A design and method of manufacture of an improved mosquito repellant coil stand integrated to a tray of various shapes manufactured from plastics or its sheets aluminum foil, paper or paper board which acts as a collector of spent coil ash and also as a packing of the mosquito repellant coil when the tray is sealed by with a plastic laminate, plastic sheet, plastic sheet, aluminum foil or laminated paper or paper board by heat sealing or by adhesive or crimping.
Full Text Technical background :
The present invention relates to a design and manufacture of an improved mosquito repellant coil stand-cum-tray-cum-packing for retail trade.
This invention relates to an improved mosquito repellant coil stand integrated to a tray made by moulding or thermoforming of all types of plastics and or its sheets like PVC, Polyethylene, polyester polypropylene, polystyrene or any metal or paper or paper board which acts as a collector of ash of the spent coil which also serves as a packing for the mosquito repellant coil with appropriate covering made of all types of plastics and or its sheets like PVC, Polyethylene, polyester, polypropylene, polystyrene or any metal or paper or paper board or their laminates thereof
Background Art:
Mosquito repellant coil containing generally a chemical allethrin is burned to ward off or repel mosquitos in homes and other residing places. The general or traditional method of placing a burning mosquito repellant coil is to use a small vertical metal sheet projection with a small metal sheet base so that the burning of mosquito repellant coil is kept isolated with any object or article for its continuous burning and also that it does not ignite or bum any object near it or on which it is placed.
This traditional method is a simple one which does not take into account the falling ash of the burnt coil which generally falls on the floor or the surface on which it is kept. This messy feature of falling ash of the spent mosquito repellant coil is one of the aspect which this invention aims to control.

A principal feature of this invention is to integrate a small vertical metal hook to a round tray shaped like an arrow. This is done by making the blunt end of the arrow like metal hook in a square |_| shape and piercing into two linear slots in the centre of the tray. The smaller end of the blunt side of the arrow like hook is folded and pressed to stand like a standing arrow. The tray is made out of plastics by injection mouldings or its sheets by thermoforming. The tray can also be made of pressed aluminum or tin metal sheet. The burning mosquito repellant coil is lighted and placed on the hook. The ash of the burnt mosquito repellant coil falls in to the tray. After the entire mosquito repellant coil is brunt, the ash is disposed off by emptying the tray for reuse if required to use another coil. This avoids the messing of the floor or the object on which the burning mosquito repellant coil is placed with the falling spent ash of the mosquito repellant coil.
Another objective of this invention is that the integrated stand-cum-tray is also used as a packing of the mosquito repellant coil with the metal stand in folded position. The mosquito repellant coil is placed in the round dejection of the tray. The tray is then heat sealed or attached by other appropriate means with a laminate made of paper / polyethylene, polyester / polyethylene, paper board / polyethylene, aluminum foil / polyethylene to the sides of the tray. This enable the safe transport of the mosquito repellant coil to the customer as well as the mosquito repellant coil is kept in dry condition. The side wall of tray can have a height of 3 mm or above depending upon the quantity of the coils to be packed, since the tray also serves as a packing for the coils to be sold in the market to consumers.
Brief description of the drawings :
The invention will now he described with respect to the accompanying drawings :

Figure 1 wherein the word A represents the tray made of materials as mentioned earlier and B foldable metal stand in standing position.
Figure 2 represents tray A and foldable metal stand B in folded position.
Figure 3 represents the other object of the invention wherein A represents the tray, B represent metal stand in folded position and mosquito repellant coil represented by C placed within the circular dejection of the tray and D represents the laminate sealing the tray.
Figure 4 represents tray A, foldable metal stand B in standing position and the burning mosquito repellant coil C placed on foldable metal stand.
Details description of the preferred embodiments :
Referring to Figure 1 wherein the word A represents the tray made of thermoformed or injection molded plastic materials like PVC, PET, Polyethylene, polystyrene, polypropylene, or pressed aluminum or tin metal sheet or paper or paper board. The tray formation is made by electrically radiation heating a sheet of plastic which is clamped between too sides of the tray mould and air pressure is applied to mould it in the form of the tray. According to one embodiment of the invention the dejection of the tray may be in the shapes of round, oval, rectangle, square, hexagon or pentagon or a combination thereof
The foldable arrow shaped hook B is made tornado from aluminum or tin sheet by metal die punching method. Its blunt side is bent in square |_| shape. The hook is pushed in the two slots in the centre of the tray from beneath and standing blunt portion of the hook is folded horizontally and pressed tightly to fix it to the

tray. The arrow shaped end of the hook which is in standing position is to facilitate placing of the burning mosquito repellant coil.
Figure 2 shows the arrow like metal hook B in folded position in the tray A to enable placing and packing of the mosquito repellant coil.
Figure 3 shows the tray A with folded arrow like metal hook and the mosquito repellant coil C placed within the dejection of the tray. The entire tray is covered by a laminate of plastic or paper with or without printing and sealed by applying heat to the four sides of the laminate or alternatively fixing it with adhesive. The mosquito repellant coil thus packed whether signally or in multiples remains securely packed in the tray dejection and does not break during transport of the mosquito repellant coil from the manufacturing site to the market and ultimately to the consumer. Mosquito repellant coil packed loosely in ordinary cardboard boxes experience lot of breakages which is avoided by the above packing method. The laminate heat sealed to the tray keeps the mosquito repellant coil dry unaffected by humidity and hence the mosquito repellant coil bums efficiently. The secure packing and keeping the mosquito repellant coil drying is another embodiment of this invention.
Figure 4 shows the tray a with the arrow like metal hook B in standing position after the laminate covering has been removed and the lighted mosquito repellant coil placed on the hook. The spent ash of the mosquito repellant coil falls in the tray and its disposal becomes easy and non-messy affair, which is yet another embodiment of this invention.
According to another embodiment of this invention the tray may have linear ribs or circular ribs to strengthen the tray formation.

I CLAIM
A design and method of manufacture of mosquito repellant coil stand-consisting of a vertical metal hook integrated to a round tray with a side wall and or collar to avoid spillage of ash of the spent mosquito repellant coil and to keep the same within the tray till it is disposed off so that the messing of the floor and or the object on which the burning mosquito repellant coil is placed is avoided.
2 A mosquito repellant coil stand integrated to a tray for collection of
the spent ash of the mosquito repellant coil which also serves as a packing for the
mosquito repellant coil which is placed into the tray and then sealed with heat or
adhesive with a laminate made of polyester / polyethylene, paper / polyethylene,
aluminum / polyethylene, paper board polyethylene, polystyrene / polyethylene,
PVC, aluminum foil or PVC sheet with or without printing.
3. A mosquito repellant coil stand integrated to a tray made of plastic or
thermoformed plastic sheet, pressed aluminum sheet or paper or paper board in
shapes comprising round, rectangle, square, oval, hexagon or pentagon or a
combination thereof
4. A mosquito repellant coil stand integrated to a tray having linear or
circular ribs to strengthen the tray formation.
5. A mosquito repellant coil stand integrated to a tray substantially as
herein described and illustrated in the figures of the accompanying drawings
