| Abstract | Rekeyable straight shackle padlock comprises of a solid lock housing, a generally U shaped recess formed in th said houding, a shackle moveable within said guide between an open position in which it is retracted out of said houdng and frees sid entry side of said of said U shaped recess and a clesed position in which it is partly located in rigth side shoulder of daid 'U' recess of said housing and closes off said lock cylinder in said lock housing, a cam moveably mounting said lock cylinder in said lock housing, a cam moveably by side locking cylinder and having a slideably housed locking bolt member engageable with said shack,e to arrest the shadkle in its locked position and retain the said shackle inside the said housing in unlicked position, a recess to provide access for withdrawal of said locking cylinder by removal of screw mounting means for said locking cylinder when shckle is in unlockied position but not when shackle is in locked position, permitting the eithdrawal of the said locking cylinder from said lock houding and replacement of said lock cylinder by substitute lock cylinder. |
