Title of Invention

"SPRAYER WITH IMPROVED HANDLE"

Abstract This invention relates to a sprayer with improved handle comprising a pump disposed into a container, an operating handle comprising of a hollow pipe having a ball disposed therein being provided outside said container for operating said pump, a rubber lining is provided at the inner surface and rubber pads are provided at both ends of said hollow pipe.
Full Text This invention relates to a sprayer with improved handle. In particular, this invention relates to an improvement in or relating to a sprayer to make it fatigueless hand operated knapsack sprayer.
The use of sprayers for spraying insecticides, pesticides and/or other medicinal preparations in the house as well as in the agricultural/horticultural fields is well established. The sprayer known in the art comprises a pump disposed in a tank provided for containing spraying material therein. An operating handle is provided outside the container such that to operate the pump in order to increase the pressure inside the tank to spray the contents. Shoulder straps are provided for holding the sprayer on the back of the operator.
There are certain disadvantages associated with the conventional sprayer. One of the main disadvantage is that the operation of the sprayers causes fatigue to the operator.
'Therefore, the main object of this invention is to propose an improved construction of a sprayer, which is easy in operation and does not cause fatigue to the operator.
According to this invention there is provided a sprayer with improved handle comprising a pump disposed into a container, an operating handle comprising of a hollow pipe having a ball disposed therein being provided outside said container for operating said pump, a rubber lining is provided at the inner surface and rubber pads are provided at both ends of said hollow pipe.
In accordance with this invention a pump is disposed into cylinder provided for containing the spraying material therein. An operating handle is provided outside the container for operating the pump which causes spraying of the contents from the container. These features are as such known and do not constitute inventive features according to this invention. Specifically in accordance with this invention improved operating means/handle has been
provided to operate the pump easily. The operating means according to an embodiment comprises a hollow pipe having a ball disposed therein such that the energy is stored during non-working stroke of the handle by the movement of the ball and such energy is utilized during the working stroke of the handle and thus the operation of the sprayer is made easy.
An improved sprayer according to a preferred embodiment is herein described and illustrated in the accompanying drawings wherein:-
Fig. 1 shows the plan view of the sprayer with the invented handle and Fig. 2 shows the positions of the handle during operation.
Referring to the drawings particularly fig. 1 the sprayer of this invention has a container 1 for containing liquid pesticides, insecticides and/or any other pharmaceutical preparation to be spread in the houses and/or agriculture/horticulture fields. A pump 2 is disposed into the container 1 such that upon operation of the pump 2 by means of an operating handle 3, pressure is created inside the container and thus the liquid content is transported to the spraying device (not shown). These features are as such known in the prior art and do not constitute inventive features.
Specifically according to this invention the handle 3 comprises a hollow pipe and is secured to a holder 4 at one end thereof. The holder 4 is provided to hold the handle 3 rotatably. A ball 5 is disposed in said hollow pipe 3 such that to be rotated from one end to the other end so as to store the energy during non-working stroke (see fig.2) and which is utilized during the working stroke of the handle 3 and to reduce the fatigueness to the operator. Rubber lining 6 and pads 7 are provided inside the hollow pipe 3 and at the ends thereof so as to make the handle noise free. A rubber grip 8 is provided at the other end of the handle 3 for holding the handle 3 during operation of the sprayer.

WE CLAIM:
1. A sprayer with improved handle comprising a pump disposed into a container, an operating handle comprising of a hollow pipe having a ball disposed therein being provided outside said container for operating said pump, a rubber lining is provided at the inner surface and rubber pads are provided at both ends of said hollow pipe.
2. A sprayer with improved handle substantially as herein described and illustrated.
