Title of Invention | FOUR-CYCLE DIRECT INJECTION ENGINE |

Abstract | [Object] To make it possible, in a four-cycle direct injection engine wherein fuel is directly injection into a combustion chamber, to allow lean burn to achieve reduction of the fuel cost and achieve miniaturization of a cylinder head. [Solving Means] Intake valves 27, 28 and an exhaust valve 29 are disposed in a V shape for opening and closing movement on a cylinder head 14. An injection valve 108 is attached to the cylinder head 14 between the intake valves 27, 28 and the exhaust valve 29 so as to directly inject fuel into the combustion chamber 19. Rocker arms 44, 45 disposed vetween the intake valves 27, 28 and the exhaust valve 29 and connected at one intake valves 27, 28 and the exhaust valve 29 are individually supported for rocking motion by a pair of rocker shafts 58, 59 secured to the cylinder jead 14. A pair of driving rods 46, 47 disposed a positions corresponding to the one end portion at positions corresponding to the one end portions of the rocker shafts 58, 59 are individually connected in an interlocking relationship to the rocker arms 44, 45.
