TITLE: IMPROVED HEAD STRUCTURE OF METER MOVEMEOT WITH MOVING OOIL BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
1. Field of the invention
The present invention is related to an improved head structure of meter movement, and is especially related to a head of a meter movement with moving coil, wherein the major element, magnet, can be assembled and changed quickly, the head of meter movement is with low cost, convenient for assembling, and the accuracy of product can also be up-graded. The present invention is applicable to head structure of various meter movements.
2. Description of the Prior Art
Referring to Fig. 1, a convent ional head 1 of a meter movement with moving coil comprises a magnet 10, two magnet protecting sheets 11, a coil 12, two hair springs 13 and a yoke 15, wherein the yoke 15 is composed of two semicircular sheets 151, 152, the semicircular sheet 151 is provided on the tailing end thereof with a folded sheet 153 having a hole and on the top end thereof with two arms riveted with a top sheet 156 having thereon holes. The magnet 10 is encircled by the two magnet protecting sheets 11 and is welded to the two semicircular sheets 151, 152. When in assembling, the coil 12 with an indicating needle 16 is placed in the magnet protecting sheets 11, the two ends thereof are connected to zero arms 154, 155 respectively, and it is supported by two jewels 17 and 18 provided thereon with a hair spring 13 for restoring position. Lastly, the other semicircular sheet 152 is

used for covering and welding; these members are altogether placed in a plastic cylinder (not shown) to compose a semi-product of the head 1 of the meter movement.
The above stated conventional head of the meter movement with the moving coil has the following defects though:
1. When in assembling, by the fact that the yoke is riveted with
the top sheet, it trends to drop or displace to result in
deviation of the position of the central hole.
2. When in assembling, by the fact that the magnet is welded, the
surface of the magnet shall be treated for easy welding, and be
cleansed after welding before electric plating to make the
product; therefore, treatment in production is very cumbersome.
3. In normal processing of a head of a meter movement with moving coil, a raw magnet material is well welded and placed before it is magnetized. Because the internal magnet is unable for discriminating between superiority and inferiority only by apparent observation, when bad quality or other flaws of the magnet are found after a product is obtained by means of welding, the magnet can not be removed for changing, and it can only be wholly discarded. This not only increases the cost of production, but also creates many wastes relatively.
4. A conventional head of a meter movement with moving coil adopts the mode of welding, the magnet thereof is not easy for welding and trends to cause undesired displacement during welding. Because welding induces the phenomenon of

expansion/contraction by heating/cooling, the center of the product trends to deviate, error of accuracy of the head of the meter movement assembled is large, and accuracy of the electric meter will be lowered. Therefore, the present invention is developed to eliminate the above stated defects. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The primary object of the present invention is to provide a head of a meter movement with moving coil, which head is easy in assembl ing, can largely reduce cost of production and can up-grade accuracy.
In order to achieve the above object, the head of the meter movement with the moving coil of the present invention comprises a magnet set, a coil, a clamping and holding stand and a yoke, wherein the magnet set is composed of an encircling magnet protecting sheet and a magnet.

The coil 3 is wound on a frame 31. The magnet set 2 forms a gap between it and the frame 31 when it is mounted in the frame 31, and the coil 3 has an indicating needle 6 and two wire-outgoing ends 32, 33.
The clamping and holding stand 4 is in the shape of "U" (as shown in Fig. 3), and has a hole 41 on the top. There are an zero arm 42 (for adjusting the indicating needle 6 to return to zero) and a stopper 7 (for limiting the range of rotation of the indicating needle 6) mounted in the hole 41, a jewel 421 is provided inwardly on the zero arm 42 and is used as a fulcrum for supporting the coil 3, the zero arm 42 is further provided with a restoring hair spring 422, the clamping and holding stand 4 has two lateral clamping arms 44, 45 each wi th a stepped portion 46, the two clamping arms 44, 45 has two mutual ly spaced engaging blocks 49, a clamping opening 47 and a needle receiving space 48 are formed to engage and hold the magnet set 2 between the two engaging blocks 49. The stepped portions 46 provided on the external surfaces of the two lateral clamping arms 44, 45 each has a protruding block 461, a gap 40 is formed between each of the two lateral clamping arms 44, 45 and i ts corresponding

protruding block 461, the lateral clamping arms 44, 45 are further provided on their outer lateral sides with engaging areas 43 to endue themwith elasticity; and for easy assembling, the bottom ends of the clamping arms 44, 45 at the engaging areas 43 are formed thinned arciform shapes.
The yoke 5 is in the shape of a circle, and is formed by abutting of a larger semicircular magnet protecting sheet 51 which is larger than a semicircle of the member 5 and a smaller semicircular magnet protecting sheet 52 which is smaller than the semicircle, and forms therein a receiving space 54 after abutting for placing therein the magnet set 2 and the clamping and holding stand 4. The larger magnet protecting sheet 51 is provided on the tai 1 ing end thereof wi th a folded sheet 511 which is in the shape of "L" and has thereon a locking hole 512 in opposition to the hole 41 provided on the top of the clamping and holding stand 4, the hole 512 is mounted therein an zero arm 53, a jewel 531 is provided inwardly on the zero arm 53 and is used as a fulcrum for supporting the coil 3, the zero arm 53 is further provided with a restoring hair spring 532; the larger magnet protecting sheet 51 is provided on the two ends thereof with engaging areas 513.
When assembling, referring again to Figs. 2-5, the magnet set 2 is firstly slipped in the coil 3, and is clamped and held by the two lateral clamping arms 44, 45 of the clamping and holding stand 4. The magnet set 2 is held between the two engaging blocks

49 of the clamping opening 47. The indicating needle 6 of the coi 1
3 can be located in the needle receiving space 48 formed between the two clamping arms 44, 45, and by abutting of the engaging areas 43 provided on the outer lateral sides of the two clamping arms 44, 45 with the larger magnet protecting sheet 51 to render the upper end of the larger magnet protecting sheet 51 able to be placed into the gaps 40 respectively of the two clamping arms 44, 45. Additionally, the present invention has another embodiment to afford a different application of assembling, wherein the joint area of the clamping and holding stand 4 with the clamping arms 44, 45 can be extended from the middle of the clamping and holding stand 4 to form extensions (as shown in Fig. 6) which are provided thereon with holes 8 for locking, the mode of assembling is same as the forgoing embodiments, and no further description is required.
Thereby the present invention has the following advantages:
1. The present invention uses a clamping and holding stand to get the effect of fixing the magnet set without welding step by step. Its steps of processing are simple. It is convenient for assembl ing and can save work hours. With its simple structure, it can be firm in use after assembling, and the magnet can be clamped and assured to be located at the center. Thereby accuracy of the product is increased, and its cost of production can be largely reduced.
2. The present invention uses the clamping and holding stand to clamp the magnet set thereon, thereby when the magnet set is found to be deficient in production, it can be dismantled in an inverse direction to have the magnet set changed, this can reduce generation of wastes.
The preferred embodiment is only for illustrating the present invention. It will be apparent to those skilled in this

art that various equivalent modifications or changes made to the present invention without departing from the spirit and scope of this invention shall fall within the scope of the present invent ion.
In conclusion, the present invention can achieve the expected objects thereof to provide an improved head structure of a meter movement with moving coil, which is applicable in industry. Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new and desire to be secured by Letters Patent of the United States are:
