Full Text FIELD OF INVENTION
This invention relates to a sportswear. In particular, this invention relates to a pair of pants which may advantageously be used for sports such as rock climbing.
BACKGROUND OF INVENTION
Pants normally known in the art for rock climbing consist of normal pair of pants, and made of fabrics of any synthetic material blended with natural fibres. Several disadvantages are associated with the known pair of pants. One such disadvantage is that the pair of pants did not have any suitable padding at the crotch area. Another disadvantage was that it did not impart an ease of movement at the knee. Still a further disadvantage is that it did not have air vents.
OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION
An object of this invention is to propose an improved construction of a pair of sports pants such as for rock climbing.
Another object of this invenvicn is to propose an improved construction of a pair of sports pants, which obviates the disadvantages associated with the prior art.

Still another object of this invention is to propose an improved construction of a pair of sports pants, which has a suitable padding at the crotch.
Yet another object of this invention is to propose an improved construction of a pair of sports pants, which is efficient.
Further objects and advantages of this invention will be more apparent from the ensuing description.
STATEMENT OF INVENTION
According to this invention there is provided An improved construction of a pair of sports pants comprising of crotch padding at the crotch area, knee padding/Rib/Inverted pleat at the knee portion, said knee portion provided with around zip for attaching or detaching the upper part of the pant with its lower part, elasticated waist having spaced loops for supporting or holding accessories, vents for imparting air breathing properties, cords for visibility and a plurality of pockets for different purpose and snaps .
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION WITH REFERENCE TO ACCOMPANYING DRAWINGS
In accordance with this invention the pant is having a crotch padding (1) at the crotch area of the pant (as shown in fig.l). Such a padding imparts comfort to a wearer. Further, the knee

portion of the pant is provided with knee padding/Rib/Inverted pleat (3/4) (as shown in fig. 3 and 4) for comfort and easy movement while climbing as the same comes out or becomes taut on bending of the knee, further, the knee portion may be provided with a round chain (5) to attach/detach the upper part of the pant with its lower part (As shown in fig. 1).
The waist portion of the pant is elasticated waist (6), (fig. 4) having spaced loops (7, Fig. 5) for supporting or holding accessories. The elasticated hem can be pulled up to the knee level with the help of snaps turning the pant into shorts. Further, visible inseam vents (7', 8) are provided in the front and back for visibility and imparting air breathing properties, which may be provided separately (as shown in fig. 5 and fig. 6). The end portion of the pants may have a fold to increase length of the pant and the pant may be provided with a kissing zipper (7", fig. 5).
Further, the pant is provided wit h several types of pockets such as elasticated pocket snaped to side seam (9, Fig.6), patch pocket (10, fig.4), double lip pocket (11, Fig 7) under the hips for different purposes. Most of the pockets are placed at the back or the side seams for easy access. Directions of the pockets and their openings are made according to different movements of legs while rock climbing.
The pant is suitable to wear for rock climbing in the temperature range of 5-25°C.

The fabric for pant in different temperature range is as follows:-
Temp, in°C Fabric
5-10 Nylon Polyester
cotton blend which is water pr oof/water resistant with peach finish
10-20 Nylon Polyester Cotton
blend which is water proof/ water resistant having peach finish with polymer mesh lining
20-25 Nylon Polyester Cotton
blend which is water proof/water resists n: with peach finish.
