Title of Invention

AN IMPROVED MASSECUITE CONDITIONER FOR SUGAR INDUSTRY

Abstract An improved massecuite conditioner made of stainless steel with cylindrical top section and a conical bottom section provided with plurality of top primary hot water heaters made of stainless steel pipes (n1-n3) vertically arranged at intervals in rows at an angle of 0º with respect to vertical axis in horizontal plane, middle primary hot water heaters made of stainless steel pipes (n2-n4) arranged in rows in the horizontal plane at an angle of 60º with respect to vertical axis, bottom primary hot water heaters made of stainless steel pipes (n2-n4) arranged in the horizontal plane in rows at an angle of 120º with respect vertical axis ; bottom conical section made of stainless steel containing plurality of secondary jacketed hot water heaters (n5-n6) arranged in two parts with upper jacketed heaters located at the top end of conical section and separated from lower jacketed heaters which are located near the bottom of the conical section thereby covering the entire cross section of the conical bottom portion, temperature of crystals being continuously measured and controlled with a temperature controller controlling flow of hot water to primary hot water heaters (n1-n3),and (n2-n4) in tandem with secondary jacketed heaters (n5-n6); untreated massecuite entering from top end of cylindrical section and treated massecuite being discharged from bottom end of conical section; temperature controller first switching off hot water to bottom primary heater, then to middle primary heater and lastly to top primary heater, temperature controller totally switching off hot water to the three primary heaters and switching on cooling water for controlling temperature of massecuite in case of temperature overshoot.
