Abstract

A composite resin covered metallic sheet of which at least one side is laminated with composite resin film comprised of laminated three resin layers of (a), (b) and (c) described as follows: (a) uppermost layer: resin layer mainly composed of polyester resin comprising of the recurring unit as herein described the polyester resin comprises polyethylene terephthalate resin, polyethylene terphthalate/isophthalate copolymer resin or a blended resin of these resins (b) intermediate layer: blended resin layer composed of 1 to 99 weight % of polyester resin comprising of the recurring unit as herein described or the polyester resin comprises polyethylene terephthalate resin, poly- butylene terephthalate resin, copolyester resin mainly composed of ethylene terephthalate units and co polyester mainly composed of butylene terphthalate units, or a blend of more than one of them, and 1 to 99 weight % of polycarbonate resin comprising of the recurring unit as herein described (c) lowermost layer: resin layer mainly composed of polyester resin comprising of the recurring unit shown in formula (1) described below or the polyester resin comprises polyethylene terephthalate resin, poly- butylene terephthalate resin, co polyester resin mainly composed of ethylene terephthalate units and copolyester mainly composed of butylene terphthalate units, or a blend of more than one of them, or as a copolyester polyethylene terephthalate/isophthalate, polyethylene terephthalate/sebacate, polyethylene terephthalate/adipate or poly- butylene terphthalate/isophthalate.

WE CLAIM: 1. A composite resin covered metallic sheet of which at least one side is laminated with composite resin film comprised of laminated three resin layers of (a), (b) and (c) described as follows: (a) uppermost layer: resin layer mainly composed of polyester resin comprising of the recurring unit as herein described the polyester resin comprises polyethylene terephthalate resin, polyethylene terphthalate/isophthalate copolymer resin or a blended resin of these resins (b) intermediate layer: blended resin layer composed of 1 to 99 weight % of polyester resin comprising of the recurring unit as herein described or the polyester resin comprises polyethylene terephthalate resin, poly- butylene terephthalate resin, copolyester resin mainly composed of ethylene terephthalate units and co polyester mainly composed of butylene terphthalate units, or a blend of more than one of them, and 1 to 99 weight % of polycarbonate resin comprising of the recurring unit as herein described (c) lowermost layer: resin layer mainly composed of polyester resin comprising of the recurring unit shown in formula (1) described below or the polyester resin comprises polyethylene terephthalate resin, poly- butylene terephthalate resin, co polyester resin mainly composed of ethylene terephthalate units and copolyester mainly composed of butylene terphthalate units, or a blend of more than one of them, or as a copolyester polyethylene terephthalate/isophthalate, polyethylene terephthalate/sebacate, polyethylene terephthalate/adipate or poly- burylene terphthalate / isophthalate. 2. The composite resin covered metallic sheet as claimed in claim 1 wherein the metallic sheet is a steel sheet or an aluminum sheet of which surface has 3 to 30 mg/m2 of hydrated chromium oxide film. 3. The composite resin covered metallic sheet as claimed in claim 1 or 2 wherein the polyester resin that is the main component of said lowermost layer is one of following (d) to (g) or blended more than one of (d) to (g): (d) polyethylene terephthalate (e) polybutylene terephthalate (f) copolyester resin mainly composed of ethylene terephthalate unit (g) co polyester resin mainly composed of butylene terephthalate unit 4. The composite resin covered metallic sheet as claimed in any of claims 1 to 3 wherein said lowermost layer is a layer of a blended resin composed of 1 to 99 weight % of a polyester resin as herein described and 1 to 99 weight % of polycarbonate resin shown as herein described. 5. The composite resin covered metallic sheet as claimed in any of claims 1 to 4 wherein the polycarbonate resin involved in said intermediate layer is bisphenol A polycarbonate resin. 6. The composite resin covered metallic sheet as claimed in any of claims 1 to 5 wherein the polyester resin involved in said intermediate layer is one of the following (i) to (I) or a blend of more than one of (i) to (I) : (i) polyethylene terephthalate (j) polybutylene terephthalate (k) co polyester resin mainly composed of ethylene terephthalate unit (I) copolyester resin mainly composed of butylene terephthalate unit 7. The composite resin covered metallic sheet as claimed in any of claims 1 to 6 wherein the polyester resin that is the main component of said uppermost layer is polyethylene terephthalate or polyethylene terephthalate/isophthalate copolyester resin. 8. The composite resin film as claimed in any of claims 1 to 7 wherein said uppermost layer is the layer of a blended resin composed of 1 to 99 weight % of polyester resin as herein described and 1 to 99 weight % of polycarbonate resin as herein described. 9. A composite resin covered metallic sheet substantially as hereinbefore described with reference to the foregoing examples.
