PREAMBLE TO THE DESCRIPTION
The following specification particularly describes the invention and the manner in which it is to be performed : -

REFRIGERATOR CUM DEHUMIDIFIER
Field Of Invention:
The present invention relates to a dual use refrigeration system which works as standard refrigerator while the same system provides dehumidification of the same room thereby eliminating the need for two separate devices for each of the above function.
Object of the invention:
The refrigerator which works on the compressor is not require to work all the time therefore the same compressor can be used along with the dehumidification attachment for providing dehumidification of the room in which it located.
Hence it is an object of this invention to provide a refrigeration system which will work as a refrigerator and dehumidifier also.
Statement of the Invention:
Accordingly there is provided Refrigerator-cum dehumidifier comprises:
a refrigeration section consisting of refrigerator having an evaporator and condenser;
a dehumidification section consisting of dehumidifier having single evaporator cum condenser coil; said dehumidification section further consisting of inlet grill with fan to pull the air from the room to be dehumidified to said evaporator cum condenser coil and outlet grill with fan to discharge the hot gas from the compressor;

a compressor being common for both refrigeration section and dehumidification section, said compressor having two branches out of which one is connected to refrigeration section and other to dehumidification section;
thermostat for measuring the temperature of refrigerator;
a pair of solenoid valve to decide which section is to be active, one of said solenoid valve is provided on the branch connected to refrigeration section and other on the branch connected to dehumidification section, said valves are provided with the output of the thermostat which helps in deciding which section is to be active;
wherein inlet grill fan pulls the air from the room to be dehumidified through inlet grill to the evaporator cum condenser coil of the dehumidifier, said coil chills the air by lowering down the temperature of said air and removes the moisture from the air and then said dried air is reheated by the hot gas which is to be condensed and emerging from the compressor and finally said heated air is discharged through the outlet grill by means of fan provide at the outlet grill.
Brief description of the drawings:
Figure 1 : Showing the perspective view of the refrigerator-cum dehumidifier in
accordance to present invention. Figure 2 : Showing another perspective view of the refrigerator-cum
dehumidifier in accordance to present invention. Figure 3 : Showing another perspective view of the refrigerator-cum
dehumidifier in accordance to present invention.
Detailed description of the Invention:
The invention will now be described with reference to figures 1 to 3 in the accompanying drawings.

Referring to figures 1 to 3 a refrigerator cum dehumidifier (1) of the present invention mainly comprises refrigeration section, dehumidification section, compressor (2), thermostat (4) and solenoid valves (5, 6).
The refrigeration section comprises a refrigerator. This refrigerator comprises an evaporator and a condenser. This is configured as the regular refrigerator comprising a door, internal evaporator and shelving within an insulated cabinet. The condenser of the same is attached inside the outer skin of the cabinet. The second section i.e. dehumidification section comprises a dehumidifier having a single evaporator cum condenser coil (3) which operates as a dehumidifier. This section has an air inlet grill with fan (7) which draws air from the room to be dehumidified. This section further comprises an outlet grill (8) to discharge the hot air/gas.
One common compressor (2) is provided for both refrigeration as well as dehumidification section. The compressor having two branches (9,10) out of which one (9) is connected to refrigeration section and other (10) to dehumidification section.
A thermostat (4) is provided for measuring the temperature of refrigerator. A pair of solenoid valve (5, 6) is provided to decide which section is to be active. One solenoid valve (5) is provided on the branch connected to refrigeration section and other solenoid valve (6) is provided on the branch connected to dehumidification section. The output of the thermostat is given to these valves (5, 6) which ultimately operates solenoid valve and helps in deciding which section is to be active.
Firstly the inlet grill fan pulls the air from the room to be dehumidified through inlet grill (7) to the evaporator cum condenser coil (3) of the dehumidifier. This coil (3) chills the air by lowering down the temperature of the air and removes the moisture from the air. The moisture that condenses is drained out and is collected in a tray at the bottom which is connected to the drain through the tap. Then this dried air is

reheated by the hot gas which is to be condensed and emerging from the compressor and finally the heated air is discharged through the outlet grill by (8).
Both section shares a single compressor and the solenoid valve confirms that the both the circuits do not work together.
This is an embodiment of the invention. Several modifications are possible may be considered within the ambit and spirit of this invention. Since many modifications, variations and changes in detail may be made to the above described embodiments, it is intended that all matters described in the foregoing description as described in the accompanying specification is considered to the same invention.

1. Refrigerator-cum dehumidifier (1) comprises:
a refrigeration section consisting of refrigerator having an evaporator and
condenser;
a dehumidification section consisting of dehumidifier having single
evaporator cum condenser coil; said dehumidification section further
consisting of inlet grill with fan to pull the air from the room to be
dehumidified to said evaporato cum. condenser coil and outlet grill (8) to
discharge the hot gas from the compressor (2);
a compressor (2) being common for both refrigeration section and
dehumidification section/ said compressor having two branches (9,10) out of
which one (9) is connected to refrigeration section and other (10) to
dehumidification section;
thermostat (4) for measuring the temperature of refrigerator;
a pair of solenoid valve to decide which section is to be active, one of said
solenoid valve (5, 6) is provided on the branch connected to refrigeration
section and other on the branch connected to dehumidification section, said
valves are provided with the output of the thermostat which helps in
deciding which section is to be active;
wherein inlet grill fan (7) pulls the air from the room to be dehumidified
through inlet grill to the evaporator cum condenser coil of the dehumidifier,
said coil chills the air by lowering down the temperature of said air and
removes the moisture from the air and then said dried air is reheated by the
hot gas which is to be condensed and emerging from the compressor and
finally said dried and heated air is discharged through the outlet grill (8).
