| Abstract | There is disclosed a surface mountable holder-cum-guard for common consumer articles, like tooth brush, cleaning brush and safety razor, said holder comprising a base portion (1), capable of being fitted to a planar surface, said base portion being provided with a receptacle (3) at the inside surface (3A) thereof, and a cover portion, constituted of two halves (7, 8), being snap fitted to said base portion, said two halves of the cover portion being flexibly attached to each other along the joining edges of its rear surfaces (7A, 8A), such that said halves are allowed to be opened at its front end through a predetermined angle , with the rear surfaces of said two halves being caused to be bent inwards correspondingly within said receptacle (3) provided at the inside surface (3A), of the base portion, and upto the said inside surface, the arrangement being such that said two halves (7, 8) of the cover portion are capable of being opened and closed in its fitted state with the base portion, by removal and insertion of the concerned article through an opening (8B, 13), provided in one of said two halves (8) of the cover portion, or complementarily (13A, 13B) in both said halves (7, 8). |
