| Abstract | TITLE: INLET STRUCTURE OF COVERED OR OPEN TYPE. The invention relates to an open or covered inlet structure having pumps arranged therein. To be able to reduce excavation and concreting works, the foundations of the inlet structure are positioned at a substantially higher level. Only at the point at which the pumps (2) and their inlet nozzles are mounted does the foundation plate have one or more recesses (7) into which the first impellers (2.1) of the pumps (2) are lowered.
