Abstract TITLE: A PYRAZINE DERIVATIVE. A pyrazine derivative represented by the following general formula: FIGURE wherein R1 represents a hydrogen atom or a halogen atom; R2 represetns a hydrogen atom; R3 amd R5 represent a hydrogen atom; R4 and R6 represent a hydroxyl group which may be substituted with at least one group selected from the group consisting of a carboxyl group, a lower alkoxycarbonyl group, an aryl group, a cycloalkyl group,a lower alkenyl group, a halogeno-lower alkyl group and a heterocyclic group, or which may be protected with one group selected fromt he group consisting of acyl groups, lower alkyl groups, ar-lower alkyl groups, oxygen-containing and sulfur-containing heterocyclic groups, lower alkocy and lower alkylthio-lower alkyl groups, alkane-or allene-sulfonyl groups and enol-ether groups; a represents an oxygen atom; n represents o; and Y represents an oxygen atom, or a salt thereof.
