Abstract

This invention relates to a process for preparing novel formulation used as a feed additive for type II diabetes comprising mixing 5% to 25% of bean, 2.5% to 15% of trigonella foenum, 10% to 40% of guar gum, 2.5% to 20% of momordica charantia, 1% to 15% of piper nigrum, 5% to 35% of soybean defatted, 5% to 35% of cicer arietinum (bengal gram) and other pulses, 2.5% to 20% of hordeum vulgare (barely powder) and 0.1% to 5% of anti-oxidant and anti-caking agent selected from vita-C, sodium methyl paraben, calcium carbonate.

-1A- This invention relates to a novel formulation used as a food additive for type II diabetes. Substantial efforts have been extended to find new food additives capable of substituting the carbohydrate part of the principal meals of a patient suffering of diabetes. However, the inventor of the present invention has been successful in formulating such a diet additive. An object of this invention is to propose a formulation for patients suffering of diabeties. Another object of this invention is to propose a process for preparing a formulation for diabetic patients. Yet another object of this invention is to propose a formulation and a process of preparing the formulation useful as an additive to carbohydrate part of the principal meal for type II diabetics. According to this invention there is provided a formulation used as a feed additive for type II diabetics comprising 5% to 25% beans, 2.5% to 15% of trigonella foenum, 10% to 40% guar gum, 2.5% to 20% of momordica charantia, 1% to 15% of piper nigrum, 5% to 35% of soyabean defatted, 5% to 35% cicer arietinum and other pulses, 2.5% to 20% of hordeum vulgare and 0.1% to 5% of antioxidant and anticaking agent. Further, according to this invention there is also provided a process of preparing a formulation comprising mixing 5 to 25% beans, 2.5% to 15% trigonella foenum, 10% to 40% of guar gum, 2.5% to 20% of momordica charantia, 1% to 15% of piper nigrum, 5% to 35% of soyabean defatted, 5% to 35% of cicer arietinum and other pulses, 2.5% to 20% of hordeum vulgare and 0.1% to 5% of antioxidant and anticaking agent. -2- The invention will now be explained in greater deatil with the help of the accompanying examples. Example: Each 10 gms powder contains approx. Kidneybean 1.00 gms. Trigonella Foenum .50 gms. Guar Gum 2.50 gms. Momordica Charantia .50 gms. Piper Nigrum .30 gms. Soyabean defatted(Protein 50%) 2.50 gms. Cicer Arietinum (Textured) 2.00 gms. Hordeum Vulgare .50 gms. Added permitted anti-oxidant and anti-caking agent .20% w/w -3-WE CLAIM: 1. A process for preparing novel formulation used ass feed additive for type II diabetics comprising mixing: 5% to 25% of bean, 2.5% to 15% of trigonella foemun, 10% to 40% of guar gun, 2.5% to 20% of momordica charantia, 1% to 13% of piper nigrus, 5% to 35% of soyabean defatted, 5% to 35% of cicer anietinum (Bengal gram) and other pulses, 2.5% to 20% of hordeum vulgare (Barley powder) and 0.1% to 5% of anti-oxidant and anti-caking agent selected frost Vita-C, Sodium Wethyle Paraben, Calcium Carbonate. 2. A process as claimed in claim 1, wherein said bean is selected from kidneybean, frechbean and other beans of the same family. 3. A process as claimed in claim 1 substantially am herein described.
