A HERBAL COMPOSITION USEFUL FOR THE TREATMENT OF PILES.

Abstract The present invention discloses a novel herbal composition useful for the treatment of Piles, comprising the following ingredients in a ratio as mentioned therewith: 10 % Kattha powder of Acacia Catechu plant,90 % of Ash after burning of seed of Sapindus Trifoliatus; this invention also discloses a process for the preparation of the novel herbal composition useful for the treatment of Piles, comprising the steps: Collecting the seeds of Sapindus Trifoliatus, Washing with pure water for 5 mins,Keeping the seeds in an earthen pot in which a hole is there in the center keeping the earthen pot on a mild fire for burning the seeds,Collecting the Ash after conversion of the seeds to ash ,Grinding of the ash into a fine powder,Mixing the said ash with Kattha powder of Acacia Catechu in a rartio of 10 & 90% respectively to get the desired herbal composition.

treatment Piles. This invention also relates to the process for
preparation of a novel herbal composition useful for the treatment
Piles
Background & Prior Art for the invention
So far in the prior art neither any ayurvedic nor any allopathic or any homeopathic medicines are available which can treat piles effectively and permanently. The allopathic final remedy is said to be the surgical exercise to remove the piles, however it has been seen in most of the instances that the piles reappear. Therefore allopathic treatment is very costly . If the allopathic treatment is carried out by medication only the remedy is never permanent. The allopathic medicines exert side effects also. The homeopathic & ayurvedic systems provides some medicines as given hereunder but these also can not treat piles permanently and they reappear. Abovesaid medicines are:
1. Pilax Tablet & ointment ( Sold by Himalaya Ayurvedic Drugs )
2. Arshonet Normal and Forte Tab. & Ointment (Charak )
3. AbhyaSin Tab. ( Zhandu )
4. Arshohar Tab. ( RajyaVaidya Shital Prasad)
5. Arshantak Capsule (Garg Phamaceticals)
6. Saini Line Syrup ( Dabur)
These medicines give good results as long as the use of these medicines are not closed. On closure the piles reappear and then final remedy is only the surgical removal of the piles.
Objects of the present invention:
The object of the present invention is to provide an effective treatment for Piles. Further objective of the invention is to provide a process for the preparation of herbal composition useful in the treatment of the piles. Still further objective of the invention is to provide a novel herbal composition for the treatment of piles. Disclosure of the invention:
The present invention discloses a novel herbal composition useful for the treatment of Piles, comprising the following ingredients in a ratio as mentioned therewith:
(i) 10 % Kattha powder of Acacia Catechu plant
(ii) 90 % of Ash after burning of seed of Sapindus Trifoliatus
This invention also discloses a process for the preparation of the novel herbal composition useful for the treatment of Piles, comprising the following steps:
Collecting the seeds of Sapindus Trifoliatus,
Washing with pure water for 5 mins.
Keeping the seeds in an earthen pot in which a hole is there in the center
keeping the earthen pot on a mild fire for burning the seeds
Collecting the Ash after conversion of the seeds to ash
Grinding of the ash into a fine powder
Mixing the said ash with Kattha powder of Acacia Catechu in a rartio of 10
& 90% respectively to get the desired herbal composition.
Statement of Synergism
The herbal composition of the present invention is an effective remedy of piles and in fact this is magic composition for the treatment of the piles. No such medicine uptill now available for treatment of the piles. The ingredients individually does not have any such effect whereas on mixing together in the disclosed ratrio shows the unexpected effect as a medicine for the tretment of piles. This herbal composition is a cost effective remedy for piles. In this way the composition of the present invention is not a mere admixture but is synergistic composition and having unexpected & enhanced sum total of the properties as compared to the properties of the individual ingredients. This invention also relates to a process for the preparation of the novel herbal composition useful for the treatment of Piles, comprising the following steps:
Collecting the seeds of Sapindus Trifoliatus,

keeping the earthen pot on a mild fire for burning the seeds
Collecting the Ash after conversion of the seeds to ash
Grinding of the ash into a fine powder
Mixing the said ash with Kattha powder of Acacia Catechu in a rartio of 10 & 90% respectively to get the desired herbal composition. Method of treatment & Dosage:
The composition may be prepared in the form of tablet and capsules. The capsules and tablets may be prepared in 500 ,250 & 100 mg dosage form. Similarly the tablet containing the dosage of 500,250 & 100mg may be prepared. Tabs, may be applied a sugar coating for comfortable administration. For an adult 3 to 4 capsules of 500 mg may be administered in a day depending on the severeness of the piles. For children from 8 to 15 years 250 mg for three to four times may be given depending on the severeness of the piles.. For children from 5 to 8 years 100 mg for three to four times may be given depending on the severeness of the piles For children less than 5 years 75 mg for three to four times may be given depending on the severeness of the piles The composition may also be prepared in the form of an ointment by mixing the therapeutically effective amount of the composition with milk of magnesia in a known manner

1. A novel herbal composition useful for the treatment of Piles, comprising
the following ingredients in a ratio as mentioned therewith:
(v) 10 % Kattha powder of Acacia Catechu plant
(vi) 90 % of Ash after burning of seed of Sapindus Trifoliatus
2. A process for the preparation of the novel herbal composition useful for
the treatment of Piles, comprising the following steps:
Collecting the seeds of Sapindus Trifoliatus,
Washing with pure water for 5 mins.
Keeping the seeds in an earthen pot in which a hole is there in the center
keeping the earthen pot on a mild fire for burning the seeds
Collecting the Ash after conversion of the seeds to ash
Grinding of the ash into a fine powder
Mixing the said ash with Kattha powder of Acacia Catechu in a rartio of 10
& 90% respectively to get the desired herbal composition.
3. A novel herbal composition useful for the treatment of piles substantially
as herein before described.
4. A process for preparation of a novel herbal composition useful for the treatment of piles substantially as herein before described.
