Abstract |
a cylindrical sleve having a cross sectional area sufficient to accommodate two reinforcing bars inserted through both end openings, one-half inside of said cylindrical sleeve formed a semi-circular uneven inner surface similar patterns to an outer ribbed surface of said reinforcing bars for directly contacting each other, and an opposite half inside of said cylindrival sleeve formed various cross-sectional areas along the lengthwise, an intermediate pad having a semi-circular uneven inner-surface on one-side for mating with said reinforcing bars, and a narrow flat surface on opposite-side, thereby a gap is provided between said cylilndrival sleeve and said intermediate pad in a manner that the gap is various along the lengthwise, and a wedge element for inserting to said gap through end openings, at least one side of said wedge element tapered to frictional contact with said intermediate pad and said cylindrical sleeve. |
