COMPLETE SPECIFICATION
(Section 10; Rule 13)
"PREPARATION OF COPPER
ALUMINIUM TUBES JOINTS BY USING EPOXY RESIN".
M/S. CHANVIM ENGINEERING INDIA PVT. LTD., (A Joint Stock Company Registered under the Indian companies Act, 1956) at K.M. 21, Amravati Road, Vill :-Gondkhairi, Teh :- Kamleshwar, Dist :-Nagpur-440 023, India.
The following specification particularly describes the nature of this invention & the manner in which it is performed:

-> ■ > I ts .1

'The present invention relates to a

process of prepartion of

of Copper

Aluminium

Tubes Joints bv Using Epoxy Resin'

The conventional methods for prepartion of Copper

Aluminium Tubes

JointS are by way of Butt welding process, In the cited document US 5498096, the Copper aluminum tubes joints is designed specifically for the seat back frames. Further after the application of the epoxy Resin, a flow drill process is carried out to check the flow of gas
However, ths above mentioned conventional methods ft
Copper - Aluminium Tubes Joints have many disadvantages some of which
are mentioned below.
In case of Butt welding process, thers are chances oiTeatesge of gas / liquid fluid at the joint. Hence efficiency decreases by a coasiderable extent when used in certain applications, especially refrigeration industry.
The present invention "Preparation of Copper Aluminium Tubes Joints by Using Epoxy Resin" is developed with a goal to overcome ths disadvantages of the conveational methods and provide a better alternative:
The first objective is to ensure that no gas / liquid / fluid leakages occur at

the Joints.thus to

increasa efficiency as well as safety in any application

including the refrigeration industry.
"The second objective is to develop a process widen is cost-effective
compared to the conventional methods

The present invention "Preparation of Copper Aluminium Tubes Joints by Using Epoxy Resin" will now be explained in detail with the help of figures 1 to 7 of accompanying drawings.
Figure 1 shows the Aluminium Tube cutting.
Figure 2 shows the flaring of Aluminum Tube.
Figure 3 shows the internal threading in flaring of Aluminium tube.
Figure 4 shows the cutting of Copper Tube.
Figure 5 shows the threading on copper tube.
Figure 6 shows the Epoxy glue application on Copper Tube.
Figure 7 shows the insertion of Copper tube into Aluminium tube.
Figure 5 illustrates the threading on Copper tube (1).
Figure 6 illustrates the Epoxy Glue (2) applied on the Copper tube.
Figure 7 illustrates the Aluminium tube (3) and Copper tube (4).
In the present process, first of all aluminium tube is straightened and then cut for inlet and outlet. The aluminium and copper tube cutting is done after ensuring constant supply of coolant on cutting wheel clamp straightens copper tube in the cutting fixture. Then, copper tube deburring is carried out.
Copper tube threading is done. Then aluminium tube deburring is done Deburring is done on a bench grinder by rotating both the sides of tube on a grinding wheel. Aluminium tube straightening is done and checked on surface plate. Aluminium tube flaring is carried out. Internal threading on flared portion of aluminium tube is done. Copper and Aluminium tubes are degreased in Ultrasonic cleaning machine. On the threaded surface of copper

tube , epoxy resin Is applied This spoxy resin applied copper tube is inserted in the flared aluminium tube Mandrill is then inserted in the tube The joing
is then crimped on Power Press. After the crimping die sets properly, curing

is done in an oven at a temperature of 180° C for

15 minutes :Leak test is .

carried out on UTS machine. Joint pull on test is then carried out on
sampling basis.
The present invention "Preparation of Copper Alumin Tubes Joints by Using Epoxy Resin" has many advantages, some of which are mentioned in the paragraphs that follow.

The present process eliminates the chances of any gas
leakages occurring at the joints. Thus it increases efficiency in any application including the refrigeration industry.

liquid / fluid
is well as safety

There is no butt welding machine or argon Arc welding machine required;
also there is no Argon Gss consumption. Due to this, the present process is
cost-effective compared to the conventional methods
