COMPLETE SPECIFICATION
(Section 10; Ruie 13)
"THE PROCESS OF INLAY OF ALL KIND OF SEMI PRECIOUS STONE ON WOODEN FLOORING STRIPS OR BOARDS".
MR, ANAND PRAVIN GANDHI (Indian National), having address at A-5, Kum Kum Apts., S. V. Road, Vile - Parle (West), Mumbai - 400 055, India.
The following specification particularly describes the nature of this invention & the manner in which it is performed:

Tte piiKsert: invertion relates to a 'tite pnss of May of all kirai of semi prKjioiB stoiB on wooden flooring stdi or boards'.
The conventional process begins with selection of right timber for Fooring, whether it be tealswood, salwood, rubberwood, rosewood, pinewood or any other suitable wood or wood combination
Selected wood has to te sized for flooring which again depentfe upon indivi(hial client's requirements. Sized timber has to be Mn-dried to remove the moisture in wood and bring down moisture to approx 8% to 12%.
The kiln-dried wood is manufactured into flooring strijK, with or without tounge and groove for fitting the same on whatever type of fl(Kr. It can be stuck on normal I.P.S floor or on cement mosaic tiles or on marble or on plywood sheets, and skirting on vertical walls. These were the steps in wood flooring in convenrioml l^ocess.
Formally inlay of copper strijs, ivory and timl veneers were used to create pictures. The other conventional method is carpets and marbles ^sdiich is used for covering the floors.
However, the alxjveniBnrioned convenrional methods have many disadvantages, some of wliich are mentioned below:-
1) The carpets absorb a lot dust, dust accumulated on the carpets causes the diseases to the |»rsons especially cMldiBn's staying on the carpeted rooms. The cleaning of the car is also a tedious, time consuming and expensive job compared to the cleaning of the wooden flooring.

2) The conventional method marble flooru keejs the room cold it creates a lot of discomforts to the inhabitants.
3) The conventional method the wooden strips or boards are used for flooring. But it does not provide beautiful looks.
4) The conventional method is not durable.
The present invention "Process of inlaying of aU kind of semiprecious stone on wooden flooring strips or boards" is developed with a goal to over come the disadvantages of the conventional available methods and provide a better alternative.
1) The objective of the present invention is to develop a wooden floor with beauties of inlay maibles or painting.
2) The other objective of the invention is to provide the flooring which is highly durable while retaining its lauty forever.
3) The objective of the invention is to provide dust free and comfortable floor.
Detail Etescription;-
The process of inlayii^ of semi precious stone on wooden strips will now be explained in detail with the help of figure 1.
1) Semi Precious Stones (1)
2) Timber Strips (2)

The process of inlaying of semiprecious stones involve the cutting of stones in different shapes, designing and inlaying into the wooden flooring. As the semi precious stones are found in a rock shape. So, firstly these stones are cut into slice shape with the help of hand cutter, which is called KHARANJA (Kand cutter) wMle cutting water is used
After gettii^ these slices of semiprecious stones they are shaped as p^t design with the help of grinding w^el called SHAAN attached with a leather strii^ and wooden stick called as KAMANA.
After shaping these stones as leaves, {»tals, flowers, stems etc they are placed on the wooden surface, they are to be inlaid and stick with temporary glue. So they don't move from their respective place. With the help of pointed iron chisel, outline all around these stones are given. Then, these stones ate removed and kept on the separate sheet.
After removing the stones, the given outlines are clearly visible. Now cuttii^ and ding of outline area is done. Thus cavity of same shaj and size is foimed. These cavities are filled with araldite gjlue then; again all shaped stones are placed in their respective places. When it gets dry in about 10-12 hours, a sand paper with water is used to make the surfece smooth.
A nrild lacquer polish is used to make the surface more smooth, glassy and sMny, Polyurethene is a resin based compoimd for finishing and water proofing the floorings, it is applied after making timber surface smodLh. The three coats are applied by brush or sprayed by confessor so as to give the ring quaHties of

water proofing, hardness against scratches, also anti stain qualities etc. The resin coats dry up after six houjs of curing time and hardens and gets ready for use.
The colour of the stones are used as per the colour of tlie background, but can be changed as required >
1) Malachite - Dark Green in colour.
2) Lapizlazuli - Blue in colour.
3) J asper - brown in c olour.
4) Agate - Smoky.
5) Belgjnm - BMck.
6) Coral (processed) - Red.
7) Pyzer - Yellow.
8) Cornelian - Orange.

I CLAIM:-
1) A "process of inlay of all Mnd of semi-precious stone on wooden flooiii^ strips
or boards" involves -
a) Cutting of semi-precious stones into different shapes
b) These semi-precious stones are shaped as per (tesign with the help of grinding wheel cdled SHAAN and are attached with a leather string wnd wooden stick caUed KAM ANA,
c) The stones afi^r shying as leaves, petals, flowers, stens etc. they are placed on the wooden suifeoe and stick mUh temporaty ^ue, J&o tM they don't move from their respective place and with the help of pointed iron chisel, outtLne aU around these stones, these stones are removed and kept on separate sheet,
d) After removing the stones, given outlines are clearly visible, now cutdig and di^Lng of outline area is done, thus cavity of ^ime st^)e and size is fomied and fQled with Araldite glue and agjFrin aU sh^»ed stones are placed in their respective places and kej* for dryir^ for about 10-12 hours, a sand paper with water is used to make the sur&ce smocdi

2) The process SB claimed in claim 1, in which the stones are cut irto slice shape with the help of hand cutter (laMe cutting water is u^d) which is called KHARANJA as semi-pEecioiB stooss are found in a rock shape.
3) The proems as claimBd in claim 1 & 2 in iftttch, a mild lacquer polish is u^d to make the surfece more smooth, ^(^sy and sUiiy, Polyurthene is a resin based compound for finishing and water proofing the floorings and is ^)phed after nmking the tiniber sur&ce smooth, the three coats of Polyurthene are appHed by brush or sprayed by corrpessor so as to ^ve the floorii^ qualities of water proofii^ hardness against scratches, also artistain quahties etc. and resin coats dry up after six hours of curing time and hardei^ gets reatfy for u^.
