This in v en tion relates to a pneumafii centrifugal blower device used in textile spinning (ring) frames for initiating vacuum in the longitudinal axis of the tunnel.
The pneumafil centrifugal blower device proposed herein consists of an air fan impeller and an induction motor to drive the air fan impeller.
The air fan impeller consists mainly of the hub and hub cone, the air inflow shroud, a plurality of impeller vanes and back shroud.
In the use of the air fan impellers known to the art, the load on the drive motor is high, leading to higher energy intake and more power cost.
So also the induction motor known to the art employed for driving the air fan impeller is generally of lesser efficiency than that of the new induction motor proposed herein.
It is therefore an object of this invention to propose a pneumafii centrifugal blower device comprising the air fan impeller aforesaid coupled to an induction motor resulting in the consumption of less energy and, consequently, less power cost

Another object of this invention is to ensure that white fulfilling the above mentioned objective, the same suction pressure is maintained in the pneumatic tunnel
In other words, this invention enables less load to be taken up at the drive motor, and, consequently, less power charges, without compromising on suction pressure in the pneumatic tunnel.
The saving in power costs can be appreciated from the fact that pneumafil centrifugal blowers and their drive motors operate continuously all 24 hours a day, and throughout the year.
We have ascertained that by precisely defining the parameters of the components of the air fan impeller and the induction motor to be used therewith , the objects of this invention are achieved.
The pneumafil centrifugal blower device, according to this invention, consists of an air fan impeller coupled to an induction motor, said air fan impeller comprising an air inflow shroud, aback shroud, a plurality of equally spaced impeller vanes assembled together around a hub and hub cone, characterised hi that the air inflow shroud and back shroud each has a diameter 482 to 484 mm, the air inflow shroud being made of mild steel plate of thickness 2 to 2.5 mm. and the back

shroud being made of mild steel plate of thickness 3.8 to 4.5 mm; each impeller vase has ft diameter 472 to 47S mm and width 48 to 52 mm; and said induction motor comprising a stator and rotor, each being provided with stacked magnetic steel sheets; and m A at each stator slot has a slot top width 6.9S to 7.05 mm. a slot depth of 16.4 to 16.6 mm. radius of curvature of slot top of 2 to 2.1 mm. radius of curvature of slot bottom 0.9 mm width of slot opening 2.7 to 2.8 mm. slot opening angle of 10 degrees; and in that each rotor slot has a slot opening of 1 mm. radius of curvature of slot top 2.3 to 2.4 mm. a slot depth of 15.8 to 16.2 mm radius of curvature of slot bottom 1.1 to 1.2 mm. and a slot opening angle of 12 degrees, the stator having 36 slots and the rotor having 30 slots.
This invention will now be described with reference to the
accompanying drawings which illustrate, by way of example,
and not by way of limitation, one of possible embodiments of
the pneumaiil centrifugal blower device proposed herein
Fig.l illustrating the air impeller fan in perspective
Fig2. illustrating an exploded view of the view in Fig. 1
Fig. 3 illustrating a part view of the stator-rotor assembly of the
induction motor
Figs 4 and 5 respectively illustrating the stator and rotor slots of
tfie induction motor.

The air fan impeller has an inflow shroud 3, a tack shroud 5, a plurality of equally spaced impeller vanes 4 all assembled together around a huh 1 and hub cone 2.
The characteristic features of the air fan impeller are that the air inflow shroud and back shroud each has a diameter 482 to 484 mm; and each impeller vane has a diameter 472 to 475 mm with width of 48 to 52 mm. The further characteristic features of this invention are that the air inflow shroud is made of a plate of thickness 2 to 2.5 mm and the back shroud is made of a plate of thickness 3.8 to 4.5 mm, the said plates, preferably, being made of mild steel
The induction motor has a stator S and rotor R made up of stacked magnetic steel sheets B.
The stator and rotor outer diameters are 180 mm and 95 mm respectively. The rotor bore diameter is 36 mm.
The characteristic features of the induction motor proposed herein are that the dimensions of the stator and rotor slots have been carefully determined as already given above and also in Figs. 4 and 5 of the drawings to furnish optimum efficiency in operation.
The terms and expressions in this specification are of description and not of limitation, inasmuch as various other

embodiments of the pneumafil blower device proposed herein are possible without departing from the scope and ambit of this invention.
