Abstract

An improved body for electrical/electronic switch (1) comprising a front flat surface (2) with or without flanges from moulded plastic material having plurality of grooves (3) on its outer edges for fitting the body on the board pannel by screwing and fixing a coloured flap member (4) having projections (5) on the inner part of the flap member for fixing the flap member in the body having a projected central ' portion (7) with matching grooves (8) for the switch (9) to be inserted from the front side, and the brass part are assembled from the back of the said body; charecterised in that the said flap member is held in the body in the grooves provided between the flunges & the projected central portion of the body in push fit manner for concealing the screwing and for the better asthetic look.

PATEL ROAD, GOREGAON (EAST), MUMBAI - 400 063, MAHARASHTRA, INDIA Indians The following specification particularly describes the nature of the invention and the manner in which it is tope perform^d: - GRANTED 10-3-2005 AN IMPROVED BODY FOR ELECTRICAL/ELECTRONIC SWITCH The invention relates to an improved body for electrical/electronic switch more particular the invention relates to an improved body for electrical/electronic switch with a view to give different colour combination of flap as well as to conceal the fastening screw. The conventional installation of electrical switch, fuse and indicator are individually installed with a very little chance to match with the panel. Today's interior decorations has changed the concept all together and wants to change frequently the door pannel thereby there is need to develop electrical Switch, Sockets, Fuses and Indicators which will conceal those visualable screw and to make the product more attractive by i: means of colourful flap to match with the pannel. The conceal varing system which advent the box type body structure to fitt into the grooves in the pannel and fixed by screwing means thereby only the front surface of the body with switched sockets as visionable on the pannel. The type of switches with flaps of any colour is available in the market wherein the body of the switches are of the box type structure having one side open with plurality of grooves for accomdating the brass part switch part contianing in a box type moulded back piece which will be fixed the said body having a raised platform sorrourding the body and a raised platform on the surface with plurality of grooves. A flap member of any colour is pressed fit inside the periferial projections which is pressed fit by inter locking means. The present invention differs from the aforesaid product wherein a moulded front piece with flat face side having box type grooVe with plurality to hole to accomdate the brass parts of the switch inserted from the; face side and rectangular flat piece with plurality of matching groove are placed from the back side. A flap member of any colour is press fit on the outer prefarry of the flat front surface by means of interlocking means. The primary object of the invention is to provide a decorative sets of inter changeable flap of any color to suit the panel for inter decoration. The another object of the invention is to conceal the fixing screw at the 4 corners of the body to give a better asthetic look of the body. Accordingly there is provided an improved body for electrical/electronic switch (1) comprising a front flat surface (2) with or without flanges from moulded plastic material having plurality of grooves (3) on its outer edges for fitting the body on the board pannel by screwing and fixing a coloured flap member (4) having projections (5) oh the inner part of the flap member for fixing the flap member in the corresponding holes (6) provided in the body in push fit manner; the said body comprising a projected central portion (7) having matching grooves (8) for the switch (9) to be inserted from the front side, the brass part are assembled from the back of the said body; charecterised in that the said flap member is held in the body in the grooves provided between the flunges & the projected central portion of the body in push fit manner for concealing the screwing and for the better asthetic look. , An improved body for electrical/electronic switch wherein the body switches, fuse are made of electrically insulated moulded materials preferably made from urea formaldehide (thermoset plastic) and polycarbonate. An improved body for electrical/electronic switch wherein the body is box type structure of any colour having a single central groove having opening at back with outwardly projected flunge. the said flap provided in the An improved body for electrical/electronic switch wherein the flap member are provided with at least one projection on the back side of the flag member so as to fixed member in a push fit manner in the correponding grooves/ holes body portion. The invention will now be clear from the following description in the figure 1 to 3 in the accompanying drawing. Figure 3 : is a back view of the flap member for electrical/electronic switch. This is an embodiment of the invention. Several modifications are possible may be considered within the ambit and spirit of this invention. Since many modifications, variations and changes in detail may be made to the above described embodiments, it is intended that all matters described in the foregoing description as shown in the accompanying drawings be interpreted as illustrated and not in a limiting sense. WE CLAIM :- 1. An improved body for electrical/electronic switch (1) comprising a front flat surface (2) with or without flanges from moulded plastic material having plurality of grooves (3) on its outer edges for fitting the body on the board pannel by screwing and fixing a coloured flap member (4) having projections (5) on the inner part of the flap member for fixing the flap member in the body having a projected central ' portion (7) with matching grooves (8) for the switch (9) to be inserted from the front side, and the brass part are assembled from the back of the said body; charecterised in that the said flap member is held in the body in the grooves provided between the flunges & the projected central portion of the body in push fit manner for concealing the screwing and for the better asthetic look. 2. An improved body for electrical / electronic switch as claimed in claim 1 wherein the flap may be of any colour or any combination as per requirement of the user.
