Title of Invention | IMPROVISED MARBLES MAKING PROCESS |
---|---|
Abstract | In this Marbles Making Process, a third outlet or Hundi is provided in the centre imaginary rectangle of the furnace outlet plate, which is offset and not in line with the other two circular outlets. The positioning of the third outlet is the most crucial factor and the configuration of the three circular outlets is such that when a line is drawn between the two earlier outlets, it is just a linear latitutde and the position of the third outlet is such that lines drawn from the centre of the earlier two outlets, converge at the centre of the newly incorporated circle to form a perfect triangle, which ensures a faster and smoother flow of the molten glass. The capacity of recupratures has been increased here to accommodate 6 tube-144 Hole recupratures. Farther, the number of starts on the roller-die has been increased here, which increases die output by approximately 20%. |
Full Text | This invention 'IMPROVISED MARBLES MAKING FURNACE' relates to the Improvements incorporated in the Marbles making furnuco. ponsequent lo which the marbles making process is more efficient now, increased output and tho fuel efficiency of the procoss being far better than the earlier conventional processes. Marbles in this Invention pertains to the playing glass marbles. In this invention "IMPROVISED MARBLES MAKING FURNACE', the furnace carries an additional circular outlet, whose position is determinant and is off-set in a particular manner that when linear lines are drawn from the centre of the two earlier existing circular outlets, they converge at the centre of the newly incorporated circular outlet to form a perfect triangle. With reference to the accompanying drawing, the centres A & B of the existing circular outlets, converge at "C", imaginary lines drawn between "AB", "BC" & "CA", forming a perfect triangle. Further, conventional furnaces of a marble making process make use of a 4 tube-84 holes recuprature, whereas the furnace in this case accommodates a 6 tuble-144 hole recupratures. Consequently, the flue gas is made use of in a better manner, which has resulted in reducing the chimney diameter from 16' to 10'. The third improvement relates to the number of starts in the thread (groove) of the roller die. It has been found that if "n" is the number of starts in the groove (thread) of the roller die of a conventional model, then "n+l" starts on the thread of the roller die, increases the output approximately by about 20%. To be precise, if it is a single start thread on the roller die of a conventional marble making furnace, then it has to be a double start thread on the roller of this Inventioa Similarly, it is a 3 start thread instead of a 2 start thread, a 4 start thread instead of a 3 start thread and a 5 start thread instead of a 4 start thread. The Marbles making process basically consists of oil or gas-fired furnace into which glass pieces are fed into. On attaining the required temperature, the glass pieces attain molten stage and are flexible enough now to be moulded to the required spherical shape. This molten glass is forced to exit from the outlets (conventionally known as "Hundis") from the bottom of the furnace, further to pass through dies, to attain the spherical shape and size, which is determined by the die used. All conventional furnaces carry a bottom plate inscribing the outlet points, which have a circular profile. If one were to divide the bottom plate of the furnace into three equal rectangles, then the circular outlets are provided in the centre of the two extreme rectangles, forming the boundary of the outlet plate. In this "IMPROVISED MARBLES MAKING FURNACE' the third outlet or the hundi is provided, positioned in the centre imaginary rectangle of the furnace outlet plate, which is offset and not in line with the other two circular outlets. The positioning of the third outlet is the most crucial factor and the configuration of the three circular outlets is such that when a line is drawn between the two earlier outlets, it is just a linear latitude and the position of the third outlet is such thai the angular lines drawn from the earlier two outlets, converge at the centre of the newly incorporated circle to form a perfect triangle. The positioning of the various outlet points, as In the earlier system and as in this improvised process is sketched in the enclosed drawing sheet for better visualization of this "Improvised Marbles Making Furnace". The incorporation of the above elaborated three improvisations vastly improves the performance level of the entire marbles making process, consequent to which it has resulted in a more efficient, greater output, increased fuel efficient, greater output, increased fuel efficiency and a much less-pollutant marbles making process. I Claim, 1. 'AN IMPROVISED MARBLES MAKING FURNACE' comprising of three outlets provided on the bottom plate of the oil /gas fired furnace, in place of two as compared with the conventional furnaces, wherein the position of the third circular outlet is such that when linear lines are drawn from the centre of the two earlier existing circular outlets, they converge at the centre of the newly incorporated circular outlet to form a perfect triangle; a 6 Tub9-144 Holes recuprature is used in place of a 4 Tube-84 Hole recuprature and the number of starts on the groove or thread of the roller die is increased to "n+1" from "n", 2. 'AN IMPROVISED MARBLES MAKING FURNACE' as claimed in the above claim and as substantially explained herein with reference to the accompanying drawing. |
