| Abstract | A process for producing improved migration resistant plasticized poly (vinyl chloride) which comprises subjecting cleaned plasticized poly (vinyl chloride) to radiation grafting with hydrophilic monomers selected form 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate, N-vinyl pyrolidone, methacrylic acid used singularly or any combinations thereof, such that said monomersare grafted on the plasticized poly (vinyl chloride), said radiation grafting being carried out by using C060 source, said grafting being carried out in the presence of a grafting catalyst such as copper sulfate which prevents the monomer homopolymerization. |
