Abstract Disclosed is an exhaust gas treating catalyst having further improved denitrification performance. The exhaust gas treating catalyst contains a complex oxide represented by the following general formula: ABO3. In the exhaust gas treating catalyst, the A-site is composed of a lanthanoid (La) and barium (Ba), and the B-site is composed of iron (Fe), niobium (Nb) and palladium (Pd).
