Title of Invention | "AN EMULSION EXPLOSIVE AND CORD SYSTEM AND EMULSION EXPLOSIVE CARTRIDGES MADE THEREFROM, SUITABLE FOR USE IN BG METHOD IN UNDERGROUND COAL MINES" |
---|---|
Abstract | An emulsion explosive and cord system and emulsion explosive cartridges made therefrom, suitable for use in blasting gallery method in underground coal mines. The emulsion explosive and cord system and emulsion explosive cartridges made therefrom, suitable for use in blasting gallery method in underground coal mines, consists of a synergistic emulsion explosive composition having flame quenching chemicals such as flame retardant polymers as dopants to the extent of 5 to 40 wt.%. The said explosive composition being covered in a flame retardant film, such as HDPE film encased in an additional outer cover such as a tube/film of a fire retardant polymer (FRP), such as a polymer which includes PVC and any polymer of similar group and provided with a suitable cord capable of working as a detonating cord suitable for use in blasting gallery method. |
