| Abstract | The present invention describes a method and system of efficient data deliveryin HARQ systems having Reordering Entity Introduced per RLP entity. It is a method of data delivery in HARQ systems, where the negatively acknowledged RLP packets are not stalled in the Reordering entity. Here the RLP data does not get stalled because of the other RLP data. Also the reordering entity stalling data is not just based on the determination of the missing packets as lost or received, but also based on the density of the successfully received stalled packets. Further the reordering entity does not stall the packets which do not require any ACK/NACK from the upper layers. The invention describes a system where reordering entity stalls the RLP packets (in order as given by the sequence numbers) but not the actual HARQ packets carrying the RLP packets. The reordering entity is informed about the negatively acknowledged packets to not to stall, using the internal receiver information or any direct information given to receiver, in a control channel or as header information. |
