HYDROGEN PEROXIDE SOLUTION FOR STERILIZATION

Abstract An aqueous hydrogen peroxide for sterilization containing hydrogen peroxide at a concentration of 30 to 45 wt.%, Fe at a concentration of ≤ 2 ppb, Al at a concentration of at least 15 ppb and a stabilizer consisting of orthophosphoric acid at a concentration of up to 40 ppm. This aqueous hydrogen peroxide for sterilization is used in an aseptic filling apparatus to sterilize packaging materials and containers for packing food and beverage. As the aqueous hydrogen peroxide for sterilization is low in evaporation residue and thus does not clog narrow piping parts of spray nozzle, etc., it can realize stable operation of the aseptic filling apparatus. Further, it would enable use of austenitic stainless steel materials as a material of transport facilities and tanks.
