Full Text Disadvantages in conventional methods:
1. Disadvantages in using Thermo Cole sheets:
a) The process is very tedious.
b) Time consuming.
c) The actual purpose of hiding the shape of the prototype vehicle is not achieved.
d) Material consumption of thermo Cole, masking tapes, and cello tapes are very high.
2. Disadvantages in using customized car covers:
a) The mounting on the vehicle is very flimsy.
b) Not suitable for prototypes running at higher speed.
c) Suitable for a small batch of 8 to 10 number of prototypes only.
US5549938 discloses about a removable camouflage which is a flexible elastomeric magnetic panel is having a selected camouflage pattern provided thereon. The camouflaged panel is magnetically attached to a steel surface of vehicle. Further the camouflage having multiple, irregular shape plates constructed of magnetic material with selected camouflaged pattern capable of being attached to steel surface of vehicle for camouflaging, the camouflage pattern is imprinted on the flexible magnetic material itself or on a vinyl overlay laminated on the flexible magnetic material.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF INVENTION
To develop a new method of camouflaging that should;
a) Solve the purpose of camouflaging
b) Be easy to assemble & dissemble.
c) Be suitable for all types of tests.
d) Take less time to assemble.
The above objective is achieved by developing an improved method of camouflaging vehicles. An existing vehicle of some other make already available in the market equivalent to the size of the prototype to be camouflaged is used. Treating this vehicle as a master piece, moulds of the required surfaces of the vehicle are produced. With the help of these moulds fiber reinforcement plastic (FRP) components are made and painted. They are mounted on the prototype vehicle. The mounting of the FRP trims is done by directly fixing these on the sheet metal panels at required locations with the help of any suitable conventional fixing means. The other method is to develop brackets which are attached with any conventional means to the vehicle body and then the FRP trims are fixed to the brackets by suitable means.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF INVENTION:
In accordance with improved method of camouflaging vehicles;

Any existing vehicle of any make, equivalent to the size of the prototype vehicle to be camouflaged is taken. This vehicle make is used as a master for making moulds.
The following method is used to prepare the FRP trims
Parting lines is developed on this vehicle in the areas where camouflaging is required e.g. Front face, Body side outer, Rear face, Roof etc.
Separate wooden structures are prepared for all the above the specified areas which act as a reinforcement for the mould.
Masking tapes are applied in the areas where gaps on the master are present.
The surface is laminated with FRP trims and the wooden structure is placed on it.
Mould is released and finished to get a good surface finish.
Laminating the surface of mould with 2/3 layers of FRP mat.
Releasing the FRP trims after curing.
Finishing the said FRP trims and painting it with required color.
Then mounting means are provided on said trims which are any suitable conventional means used for mounting like holes, slots, grooves and channel etc. To mount the FRP trims on new prototype, conventional means like screw threads, nut bolts, welding and adhesive are used to fix the said FRP trims to the vehicle body. The FRP trims are fixed at the required locations to the vehicle body panel.
The mounting of the FRP trims is done by directly fixing these trims on the body panels at required locations with the help of any suitable conventional fixing means described above.

The other method is to develop brackets having means for securing the said trims, the said brackets are attached to the vehicle body panel of vehicles by any conventional means like screw threads, nut and bolt, welding etc and then the FRP trims are fixed to the brackets by suitable conventional means as described above.
In accordance with first embodiment of the present invention;
Improved method of camouflaging vehicles comprises:
Selecting required shape from any existing vehicles as master piece,
Preparing trims of required shape from the said master piece of said existing
vehicles,
Providing mounting means on said trims at required location,
Creating means for mounting on the body panel at required locations for mounting
said trims,
Fixing the said trims on the said body panel of the vehicles at required locations.
In accordance with another embodiment of the present invention;
Improved method of camouflaging vehicles further comprises:
Selecting required shape from any existing vehicles as master piece,
Preparing trims of required shape from the said master piece of said existing
vehicles,
Providing mounting means on said trims at required location,
Developing brackets for mounting the said trims,
Creating means on said brackets at required locations to mount said trims,
Attaching the said brackets to the body panel of vehicles at required locations,
Fixing the said trims to the said brackets.

So with above mentioned improved method of camouflaging vehicles the actual surface of the new prototype vehicles gets hidden over by FRP trims of the existing vehicle. Hence actual shape of the vehicle is camouflaged.
The foregoing description is a specific embodiment of the present invention. It should be appreciated that this embodiment is described for purpose of illustration only, and that numerous alterations and modifications may be practiced by those skilled in the art without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention. It is intended that all such modifications and alterations be included insofar as they come within the scope of the invention as claimed or the equivalents thereof.
