Title:
Sun visor with notepad
Technical Field:
The present innovation relates to the sun visor assembly for use in automobile vehicle with multiple applications. More particularly, the present invention relates to a sun visor assembly with note pad, penholder and pocket mounted over its backside.
Background and Prior Art:
An important part of conducting business is being equipped with writing material such as pen and notepad. Writing material can be stored in glove box or on the dashboard of a vehicle, but using these storage locations can create problems. Note pad and pen left loosely on the dashboard can move around as the car shifts, making it difficult to reach when the need arises. Loose items lying on dashboard of the vehicle also present a cluttered appearance that most drivers find unattractive. Some drivers tuck pens and other items under the sun visors of their vehicles for easy retrieval. Simply tucking items under the sun visor fixes their locations but allows the items to fall out when the driver needs to lower the visor to protect the driver's eyes from sunlight.
A sun visor is a component of an automobile vehicle located just above the windscreen on the interior and can be lowered to block the sun's rays. It can also be turned to the side to stop lateral sun exposure. Sun visors with LCD TV monitor, rotary video camera, CD holder, pen holder, card holder,

pockets, mirror, office organizer and see through type are well known in prior art.
Visor CD holder has 9 slot CD holder attachments to sun visor with elastic / Velcro straps and silver H logo on it. See through type auto sun visor aims for safer and more comfortable driving by reducing glare (reflected light), brightness of sun light and UV Rays all without restricting a driver's view.
American patent No. US5301856 (April 12, 1994) describes an sun visor with office organizer comprising writing instruments, a calculator, note pad, a calendar, and so on is mounted on the conventional sun visor of a motor vehicle. The organizer includes a hinged panel permitting it to be swiveled to an open position shielding the side window of the vehicle. In an alternatively preferred embodiment, a series of supplemental hinged panels are provided to increase the capacity of the organizer. The hinged panels preferably are transparent and suitably optically coated to provide a safe field of vision when they are unfolded and to afford protection from the harmful effects of sunlight.
American patent application No. US2007/0029360A1 claims sun visor pen holder, which secures writing pens to the visor of a vehicle. The pen holder includes a main strap of an elastic material. The main strap forms a loop that stretches over the sun visor to secure the pen holder to the sun visor. A common lower loop adapted for retaining the point end of a plurality of pens extends transversely across the main strap. A plurality of upper loops extends across the main strap, which is parallel to the lower loop, each pen loop forming a channel for holding the upper end of a single pen. A pen is

inserted into the channel of an upper loop and slid under the lower loop to securing the pen to the holder at both the upper and lower ends of the pen.
European patent No. EP0230778 and American patent No. US 4711483 (Dec. 08, 1987) discloses an improved sun visor assembly particularly adapted for motor vehicle applications. The sun visor assembly includes a mirror which is movable between a stowed position where it is enclosed by the visor, to a withdrawn position where it remains attached to the visor and can be used by the individual seated in the associated seat. The mirror is further completely removable from the visor in accordance with this invention so that it can be used as a hand-held mirror and can be used by other motor vehicle occupants. The visor is provided with a detent mechanism which retains the mirror in the desired stowed or withdrawn position. The entire visor assembly is configured to be aesthetically pleasing and relatively inexpensive to produce in terms of component and production costs.
American patent application No. US2007/0018476A1 and European patent application No. EP04/00382 describes a sun visor for motor vehicles comprising a hollow visor body. The sun visor has a slot like receiving opening and a receiving area arranged in the cavity of the visor body, this receiving area forming a receiving element for holding a flat object such as parking tickets or fuel cards.
Other than these concepts, in the public domain, no patents relating to the present innovation was found.

Deficiencies of Prior Art:
1) None of the prior art sun visors or prior art mentioned above discloses the reusable note pad on the back side of the sun visors.
2) None of the prior art discloses the mounting of note pad, penholder and pocket collectively on the backside of the sun visor.
