Abstract To provide an. incense stick for worshipping at a grave 1, wherein many incense sticks 2, 2... are bundled tightly with a rolled paper 3, and an air hole 4 having a necessary diameter and depth is formed at a center of a firing end face 1A of said incense stick for worshipping at a grave 1.
Full Text BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to an incense stick
for worshipping at a grave, and a method and device
for forming an air hole therein.
Description of the Conventional Art
Since the incense stick for worshipping at a grave
is made by bundling many incense sticks tightly with
a rolled paper, the incense stick for worshipping at
a grave is not fired easily even if person try to fire
in front of a grave, thus the improvement of this point
has been desired.
Therefore, many means to assist in firing has been
carried out conventionally from this reason, wherein
potassium chlorate, potassium dichromate, manganese
dioxide, sulfur, paraffin, an explosive of a match,
nitrate, red phosphorus, lead dioxide or the like, is
adhered, kneaded in or otherwise used with the firing
end face of the bundled incense stick.
However, in these means, there is a danger that

a hand or clothes is burned at the moment of firing
depending on the case. Further, adhered chemicals are
uncomfortable as the incense stick and its appearance
is also bad.
The present invention solves the above-mentioned
points, and provides the incense stick for worshipping
at a grave capable of firing easily without using the
dangerous chemicals as in the conventional ones.
Further, the present invention also provides a method
for forming an air hole, which is suitably formed in
the incense stick for worshipping at a grave, and the
device used in said method.
Summary of the Invention
The incense stick for worshipping at a grave
according to the present invention is characterized
by forming the air hole having a desired diameter and
depth at a center of a firing end face thereof.
Further, as for a method for forming the air hole
in the incense stick for worshipping at a grave, a
device is used, wherein the device comprises a driving
motor, a grinding wheel being mounted on a rotational
axis of said driving motor, having the necessary
diameter and having a grinding part at the top of the
wheel in a suitable shape, such as a columnar shape
having roundness at the end face or a cone shape at

the end face or the like, and a dust collecting box
being formed so as to cover the surround of the grinding
part of said grinding wheel and also formed with a dust
suction hole at a suitable part on a peripheral wall
of the dust collecting box. The air hole is formed by
said grinding wheel at the center of the firing end
face of the incense stick for worshipping at a grave
made by bundling many incense sticks.
Further, a device of the present invention for
forming the air hole in the incense stick for
worshipping at a grave, comprises a driving motor, a
grinding wheel being mounted on a rotational axis of
said driving motor, having the necessary diameter and
having a grinding part at the top of the wheel in a
suitable shape, such as a columnar shape having
roundness at the end face or a cone shape at the end
face or the like, and a dust collecting box being formed
so as to cover the surround of the grinding part of said
grinding wheel and also formed with a dust suction hole
at a suitable part on a peripheral wall of the collecting
box .

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
Figures 1 to 3 show the incense stick for
worshipping at a grave according to the present
invention. Figure 1 is a perspective view from an upper
side. Figure 2 is a perspective view from an under side,
and Figure 3 is a perspective view of other embodiments,
in which the shape of the air hole is changed, from an
under s ide.
In the figures, 1 is an incense stick for
worshipping at a grave. This incense stick for
worshipping at a grave 1 is made by bundling many incense
sticks 2, 2'..., tightly with a rolled paper 3.
The present invention is characterized that an
air hole 4 having the necessary diameter and depth is

formed at the center of the firing end face 1A of said
incense stick for worshipping at a grave 1. In the
present embodiment, the incense stick for worshipping
at a grave 1 has the bundle diameter of 20 mm, and the
air hole 4 has the diameter of 10 mm and the depth of
7 mm, and further, a bottom part has a semi spherical
curved face.
As for the incense stick for worshipping at a
grave according to the present invention, since the air
hole 4 is formed at the center of the firing end face,
an layer of the peripheral part of the air hole 4 is
made thin to project. Therefore, only the peripheral
part of the air hole 4 can be fired quickly. So, the
time for generating a fire can be remarkably decreased
to be about one third of the conventional time. Further,
since the sufficient oxygen is entered into the part
of the air hole 4, the fire can be quickly spread to
the center part by radiation heat from the periphery
of the air hole 4 .
Further, the other embodiment shown in Figure 3,
in which the shape of the air hole is changed, has the
same action as the above-mentioned one. As for the
embodiment shown in Figure 3, the bottom part of the
air hole 4 has the cone shape, and the others are the
same as that of the above-mentioned embodiment, thus

the same codes are used for the same members to shorten
the detailed description.
Next, the embodiment of the device for forming
the air hole in the incense stick for worshipping at
a grave according to the present invention is explained
together with its forming method.
5 is a driving motor, and 6 is a grinding wheel
mounted on a rotational axis 5a of said driving motor
5. Further, said grinding wheel 6 has the necessary
diameter and has the grinding part at the top of the
wheel in the columnar shape having roundness at the end
face. In addition, the diameter of said grinding wheel
6 is corresponding to the diameter of the air hole 4
formed in said incense stick for worshipping at a grave
1. Further, said grinding wheel 6 may have the grinding
part at the top of the wheel in the columnar shape having
the cone shape at the end face, as shown in Figure 5.
7 is a dust collecting box formed so as to cover
the surround of the grinding part of said grinding wheel
6, and discharges the dust generated at the time of
grinding from a dust suction hole 6 formed at a suitable
part on a peripheral wall of the collecting box. In
addition, the dust suction hole 8 is connected with a
suction device, which is not shown, to collect the
discharged dust.

In the case that the air hole 4 is formed in the
incense stick for worshipping at a grave 1 by using the
device for forming the air hole according to the present
invention, the firing end face 1A of the incense stick
for worshipping at a grave 1 is pushed to a rotating
grinding wheel 6 driving by a driving motor 5, and at
this time, it is pushed so as to position the grinding
part at the top of the grinding wheel 6 to the center
of the firing end face 1A of the incense stick for
worshipping at a grave 1.
In this case, since the top part of the bundled
incense stick for worshipping at a grave, which is not
ground, is abutted on a inner wall 7a of the dust
collecting box 7 to be stopped, it serves as a stopper,
thus the grinding more than needed can be prevented.
Since the incense stick for worshipping at a grave
according to the present invention has the
above-mentioned constitutions and actions, only the
peripheral part of the air hole can be fired quickly.
Thus, the time for generating a fire can be remarkably
decreased. Further, since the sufficient oxygen is
entered into the part of the air hole, the fire can be
quickly spread to the center part by radiation heat from
the periphery of the air hole. In addition, the incense
stick for worshipping at a grave according to the

present invention can be used safely since the
dangerous chemicals or the like, as in the conventional
ones, are not used at all. Further, in the case that
the chemicals or the like is adhered or kneaded in, it
is uncomfortable as the incense stick and its
appearance is also bad. However, the incense stick for
worshipping at a grave according to the present
invention does not have such problems at all.
Further, according to the method for forming the
air hole and its device according to the present
invention, the air hole can be formed easily and
efficiently. In addition, the dust generated at the
time of grinding can be collected efficiently without
scattering around.
