OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION
The principal object of the present invention is to propose a novel the therapeutic composition capable of offering an effective treatment for Nazla wa Zukam.
Another object of the present invention is to propose a novel the therapeutic composition capable of offering an effective treatment for Nazla wa Zukam prepared entirely from herbal commonly available drugs.
Still another object of the present invention is to propose a novel the therapeutic composition capable of offering an effective treatment for Nazla wa Zukam which has no toxicity or untoward effect after prolonged administration in children and also in pregnant women.
STATEMENT OF INVENTION
According to this invention there is provided a novel herbal composition effective against coryza comprising of Barg-e-Tulsi (Ocimum Sanctum Linn.) in an amount of 90-125 mg, Darchini (Cinnamomum Zeylanicum Blume) in an amount of 90-125 mg, Satte Ajwani (Ptychotic ajowan DC) in an amount of 95-105 mg, Zanjabeel (zingiber officinale Rose) in an amount of 90-125 mg and Satte Gilo (Tynospora cordifolia willd) in an amount of 95-130 mg.

Further according to this invention there is provided a process for preparation of a novel herbal composition effective against coryza comprising steps of extraction of Berg-e-Tulsi, Darchini and Zanjabeel by using purified water as solvent followed by evaporation to get concentrated mass, extraction of satt-e-Gilo followed by filtration to obtain filtrate which is concentrated to viscous mass, mixing satt-e-Ajwani with rectified sprit, followed by addition of filler such as light kaolin in the range of 25-40% and preservative such as Sodium Benzoate in the range of 0.1-0.15%, followed by drying.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
According to this invention there is provided composition effective against coryza comprising:
Ingredients
1. Barg-e-Tulsi (Ocimum Sanctum Linn.)
2. Darchini (Cinnamomum Zeylanicum Blume)

3. Satte Ajwani (Ptychotic ajowan DC)
4. Zanjabeel (zingiber officinale Rose)
5. Satte Gilo (Tynospora cordifolia Willd)
Though not limited thereto, the preparation comprises:-

1. Barg-e-Tulsi (Ocimum Sanctum Linn.) 90.00-125.00 mg.
2. Darchini (Cinnamomum Zeylanicum Blume) 90.00-125.00 mg.
3. Satte Ajwani (Ptychotic ajowan DC) 95.00-105.00 mg.
4. Zanjabeel (zingiber officinale Rose) 90.00-125.00 mg.
5. Satte Gilo (Tynospora cordifolia Willd) 95.00-130.00 mg.
To every 500 mg of the preparation.
The process comprises:-
i. Barg-e-Tulsi, Darchini and Zanjabeel are taken and coarse powder is prepared. This is subjected to hot extraction using purified water as the
solvent. The process is repeated and all the extracts are pooled together and subjected to evaporation to get the concentrated mass (A).
2. Satt-e-Gilo is taken and subjected to hot extraction using purified water
as the solvent system. The filtrate so obtained is concentrated to
viscous mass (B).
3. Satt-e-Ajwani is dissolved in rectified spirit (C).
4. All the three viz. A, B and C are mixed together followed by addition of
filler such as light kaolin in the range of 25-40% and preservative such
as Sodium Benzoate in the range of 0.5-0.15%. Then, the whole mass is
dried in fluid bed drier to get the dry granules and the content so
obtained is encapsulated in hard gelatin capsules to get the 500 mg
capsules.
