Abstract This invention relates to a process for preparing glass composition for use in a silver paste comprising of silver powder, binder dissolved in a vehicle, glass frit added thereto, wherein the binder used is 5-10 wt % of ethyl cellulose, vehicle used is made from 40-50% B-terpineol, 20-30% Butyl Cellosolve, 15-25% Butyl Carbitol Acetate, 5-15% Butyl Lactate and the glass frits used is made from 70-90% Bismuth oxide, 5-15% Boron trioxide, 5-15% Cadmium oxide.
Full Text WE CLAIM
1. A process for preparing glass composition for use in a silver
paste comprising of silver powder, binder dissolved in a vehicle,
glass frit added thereto, wherein the binder used is 5-10 wt % of
ethyl cellulose, vehicle used is made from 40-50% B-terpineol,
20-30% Butyl Cellosolve, 15-25% Butyl Carbitol Acetate, 5-
15% Butyl Lactate and the glass frits used is made from 70-90%
Bismuth oxide, 5-15% Boron trioxide, 5-15% Cadmium oxide.
2. The process for preparing glass composition for use in a silver
paste as claimed in claim 1 wherein said silver powder is present
in an amount of 70-90% of the total inorganic constituents.
3. The process for preparing glass composition for use in a silver
paste as claimed in claim 1 wherein the glass frits are present in
an amount of 10-30% of the total inorganic constituents.
4. A process for preparing glass composition for use in a silver
paste substantially as herein described and illustrated.
