Title of Invention

'A DEVICE FOR DRAWING LIQUID FROM A PIPE OR VESSEL IN A CONTROLLED FLOW'

Abstract A device for drawing liquid from a pipe or vessel in a controlled flow without any leakage having a cylindrical shape with the two holes in the opposite sides having the inner side opening ring, fitted vertically or horizontally made of non- corrosive materials.
Full Text FIELD OF THE INVENTION:
The present invention relates to a device for drawing liquid, particularly the water from a pipe or a vessel with a controlled flow, without any leakage. The device is particularly meant to the tap water line for the purpose of stoppage of leakage of water.
PRIOR ART:
In present days, the water taps, used in the water pipe lines are based on screw type mechanism, which after some time begin to leak the water and cause trouble. The frequent opening and closing of the taps cause their erosion and creates gap between the screw and the metal body as a result of which water begins to leak from the taps due to high pressure. To avoid from this problem of leakage of water, the entire tap or its metal body had to be changed. This defect of taps in prior art is often overcome by different ways such as change of valve, washer and metal or polymeric body. This infact is not the proper solution of the problem and not suitable at many occasions because the valves/washers etc. of desired shape and design to fill the gap properly are always not available according to the specification of the tapes of different shapes and sizes, with the result, the leakage of the water continues and problem persists unsolved.
ADVANTAGE OF THE INVENTION:
1. The material used in manufacturing the said device by new technique is shy-metallic, rubber, any polymeric compound, synthetic rubber, silicon or plastic to avoid erosion which is created on long use of the tapes.
2. The invented device stops the leakage of water as it does not have screw device system and hence there is no possibility of creation of any kind of gap due to erosion.
3. The device neutralizes the upward pressure of water by closing the head of the tap.
4. The water, passing from the pipeline cannot leak from the tap if the said device is fitted.
5. The device is so conveniently designed that it can be opened and changed easily without the help of plumber or skilled person.
STATEMENT OF INVENTION;
A tap for drawing water from a pipe or vessel in controlled manner is characterized
by a cylindrical resilient packing up of suitable material having two holes in the
diagonally opposite directions, fitted either vertically or horizontally inside the
body.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION
The nature of the invention its objective and further advantages residing in the same will be apparent from the following description made with reference to the non-limiting exemplary embodiment of the invention represented in the accompanying drawings.
The tap shown in figure no. 1 has the leakage possibilities on erosion after long period use, heavy pressure of water or due to salinity of the water. The clipping provision does not exist in the presently used taps and hence causes the leakage of water.
The water which is passing from the pipe line does not leak from the water tap if the said device is fitted as shown figure no. 8 even after long period use, salty water or heavy pressure of water.
In the new invention, there is plug in one piece figure no. 9 or 10. In present plug there are many parts such as: nut (fig. 2), spindle (fig. 4), valve (fig. 5), GLINUT (fig. 7), Lock (fig. 3) and washer (fig. 6).
In the new invention, there is no thread while in the plug that is being used in the present day taps.
There are six threads of which two are in the nut (fig. 2), one in the spindle (fig. 4), one in the valve (fig. 5), one in GLINUT (fig. 7) and one in the lock (fig.3).
Owing to several threads in the tap, gap is created between them on operation of the plug because of tear and bear and water begins to leak. In the new invention, the design of the tap is such that it has no threads and hence there is no possibility of any erosion and so there is no leakage of fluid or the water from the pipeline.
Further, in the present day taps, the plug (fig, 1-B) is also fitted in body (fig. 1-A) with help of threads but in the new invention plug (fig. 9/ 2-B) is fitted in body (fig. 2-A) with help of stainless steel lock (fig. 11/ 2-C) and the leakage is prevented with help of synthetic O-ring (fig. 12/ 2-F).
In the present taps (fig. 1) water or liquid is stopped by the use of washer (fig. 6/1-D). In new invention there is one cylindrical resilient packing (fig. 13/ 2-G) made of synthetic rubber or pollycarbonate or nylon, and the flow of water is stopped with the help of plug (fig. 9 or 10 / 2-B) which is made of brass, pollycarbonate or nylon in a single piece.
In new invention cylindrical resilient packing (fig. 13/14) or (fig. (8/ 2-G) having inside horizontal and vertical lines stops flow of liquid or water in very efficient manner.
In invention, there is one plug (fig. 8/ 2-B) having one hole for water and one stopper (fig. 8/2-E) which controls the flow of water. The stopper is a casted part of plug (fig 10/ fig 8/2E) only. One cylindrical resilient packing (fig. 13/ 8/ 2-G) which is having O-rings horizontal and vertical. These rings stop leakage of water. There is one S.S. lock (fig. 11/ 8/2-C) which is made up of non-corrosive metal fitted in body (fig. 8/2-A) with plug (fig. 9/ 8/2-B) and O-ring (fig 12/ 8/2-F) which will stop the water hence there is no leakage from upper side of body.
Thus by comparing in between both the present day taps and the device invented in the designed tap (figure no. 8 & figure no. 1), one can easily understand the difference between them.
It will be evident to those skilled in the art that the invention is not limited to the details of the foregoing illustrated embodiments and that the present invention may be embodied in other specific forms without departing from the sprit or essential attributes thereof.
The present embodiments are therefore to be considered in all respects as illustrative and not restrictive, the scope of invention being indicated by the appended claims rather that by the foregoing descriptions and all changes which come within the meaning and range of equivalency of the claims are therefore intended to be embraced therein.
