This invention relates to a preparation for enhancing yield in agriculture and
horticulture.
The mention specifically relates to agricultural and horticultural crop
improvement. The preparation proposed herein contains 3% to 90% hydroxy
nitro pyridine and 1% each of nitro salicylic acid and succinic acid an active
ingredient and carrier, catalyst and filler. The said preparation can be made a
water soluble concentrate, wettable powder and granules.
Increasing the yield in agriculture and horticulture is becoming vital with an increasing and bourgeoning population. The preparation proposed herein totally involves itself in the plant system by increasing the terminal, auxiliary growth, increasing productive flowering, improving the efficiency of CAM, C4 and C3 plants in photosynthesis and thereby increasing the yield and quality of the end product.

There is no prior art in totally enhancing growth activatation of photosynthesis increase yield and quality. Increased brix in fruits (total soluble salts) and brix
and CSR (Cane sugar ratio) in sugarcane, brix in beetroot and other vegetables
is achieved by the said preparation. The preparation is made just with 10 to 20
/grams per acre of heterocyclic aromatic nitrogen whereas 23 to 46 kg per acre of other nitrogen from fertilizers is required. Major fertilizers mostly

increase the vegetative growth and yield where aa nitro pyridine concentrates act on reproductive and quality aspects. The primary object is to propose a preparation which increases yield, quality and so on with reapect to agricultural and horticultural crops. The product is unique in its chemical composition and is harmless.
The preparation proposed herein is environmentally friendly and eaBy to make. The preparation can be made into a 22% water soluble concentrate. The said preparation will be made with 20% hydroxy nitro pyridine with 1% each nitro salicylic aoid and succinic acid (catalyst & photosynthesis booster

The preparation will be made with 20% nitro pyridine and nitro salicylic acid and succinic acid at 1% each with petro chemical solvent and emulsifier.
The preparation will be made with 20% nitro pyridine and nitro salicylic acid and succinic acid of 1% each with non petro chemical solvent and emulsifier (i.e. alcohol). The preparations according to this invention are unique in the sense of making,

utilization and absorption in granules and time release tor agriculture and horticulture crops wherein roasted / unroasted benotonite clay or silica quartz sand granules with calcium silicate absorbent, are used as a carrier to have hydroxy nitro pyridine and nitro salicylic acid and succinic acid granules at (15:1:1) optimum percentage of 17% strength.
The preparation is made as a wettable powder to obtain 22% concentration (20:1:1-Hydroxy Nitro Pyridine, nitro salicylic acid and succinic acid) by adding a p remix tore of calcium silicate as the absorbent and china a slay as bulk carrier to hydroxy nitro pyridine to which solid ionic surfactant like carboxyl methyl cellulose is added.
The preparation is made with hydroxy nitro pyridine as active ingredient at 20% concentration with 1% each of nitro salicylic acid and succinic acid to act as catalyst and photosynthesis activator,
Generally, the steps in the making of the preparation are as follows:
a. Take pyridine in a predetermined measured quantity. For every mole of
pyridine take equal mole of concentrated nitric acid.
b. Add concentrated nitric acid slowly and carefully to pyridine.
c. The strong exo thermic reaction should be over and the resultant product
should come to room temperature.

d. Take measured quantity of resultant product hydroxy nitro pyridine.
e. Using de-mineralized water dissolve 1% nitro salicylic acid and 1%
succinic acid with butyl cellulose quantum sufficientum.
f. Now 20% hydroxy nitro pyridine with 1% each salicylic acid and succinic
acid with quantum sufficientum butyl cellulose is ready.
