METHOD AND DEVICE FOR THE IDENTIFICATION OF PEOPLE USING A LIGHT SOURCE, A POLARISATION FILTER AND A CAMERA ON THE BASIS OF THEIR HAND LINES AND/OR FINGER LINES

Abstract Method for the identification of people using a light source (15), a polarisation filter and a camera (10) on the basis of their hand lines and/or finger lines, in which the hand lines and/or finger lines, patterns of dermal ridges, patterns of the hypodermis or the like are optically recorded, in a contactless manner, for the purpose of taking a picture, characterized in that the optical contactless data acquisition takes place by means of a first polarisation filter (17) arranged in the illumination beam path, a second polarisation filter (7) arranged in the image beam path, and a camera (10), in a rigid arrangement, namely without mechanical movements of the arrangement.
