Title of Invention

MECHA DUSTER

Abstract Generally in schools, colleges and other educational institutions, the major difficulty for the faculty members in the class room is cleaning the black boards. The conventional blackboard duster creates an untidy environment in the classroom and other places where it is used. While cleaning the blackboard, the chalk dusts come out from the board and spread over place. This dust aggravates breathing problems like wheezing, asthma etc. The conventional duster consumes longer time to clean the board. So, we had taken this issue into consideration and we initiated this invention. This is an innovative method to overcome the disadvantage of the conventional blackboard duster. A small size, high rpm motor is used to rotate plate which holds the duster. The dust will be collected in the collector which is made of transparent plastic material. Being transparent, the user can easily view the dust level in the collector. It saves time in the classroom where, the teaching time is very precious. This invention not only saves time but also maintain a clean environment in the classroom.

Description (a) Preamble
From the time the black board and chalk were invented, black board users have not been happy with the conventional, untidy duster. Hence, this project is an invention that is designed to overcome the disadvantages of the conventional blackboard duster. This innovation not only cleans the black boards but also takes care to keep the dress of the user, and the environment clean. It is a semi-automated improvement of the conventional duster that cleans better.
a It cleans very well, as it is designed to hold back the chalk dust. Thus it maintains a dust free environment in the classroom.
? Hence this innovative invention improves the classroom conditions, for the teachers and the students.
? In this method a rotating duster (sponge) used to scrape off the chalk dust from the black board.
□ It is a semi-automated type that cleans faster.
(b). Fine points about the invention
This invention consists of a circular container (4) which holds a motor (3) (Fig-1). The shaft of this motor is attached with an inclined plate. The inclined plate is attached with the shaft by using an adhesive like M-seal. The front surface of the inclined plate is having the duster material (1). The inclination is used to scrape off the dust from the black board and retain it within the circular container itself. The motor is powered by a battery(8). When the motor rotates in the clockwise direction, for every cycle the inclined plate rotates in the clockwise direction and the edges of the duster material attached to it scraps the chalk particles. The chalk dust is directed towards the collector (5) which is attached in the circular container and is used to collect the chalk dust.
The circular shape of the wooden container facilitates easy flow of chalk dust to the transparent collector. The collector is a transparent, which will indicate the level of the chalk dust. In this manner the chalk dust is retained within the collector and is not let out.

Detailed description of the drawing:
DUSTER MATERIAL: (No: 1 in Fig:l)The duster material is fixed with an inclination (the angle is approximately from 20° to 30°) to scrape the dust off the board.
WOODEN SUPPORT: (No: 2 in Fig:l)The wooden support holds the motor and helps to maintain the contact of the duster material on the board.
MOTOR: (No: 3 in Fig:l)Any small size, high rpm motor will be suitable to power the duster. Here, we have used a "DC 12 V CW "motor. The clockwise direction is selected to suit the inclination of the plate which holds the duster.
CONTAINER: (No: 4 in Fig:l) The container is made of wood (for better rigidity) and it's circular design facilitates the easy flow of chalk dust within the inner surfaces of the container and makes sure that the dust gets to the collector as shown in the figure-1 .
COLLECTOR: (No: 5 in Fig:l)The collector is made of transparent plastic material and is used to collect the chalk dust. Being transparent, the user can easily view the dust level in the collector.
SWITCH: (No: 6 in Fig: 1) It is used to toggle between the on and off states of the motor,
HANDLE: (No: 7 in Fig:l) It is made of aluminium and is used to hold the project.
BATTERY: (No: 8 in Fig:l) A " 9V " General purpose battery is used to power the motor.
