| Abstract | TITLE: A DIGITAL TELEVISION SYSTEM AND A METHOD OF ACCESSING AT LEAST ONE OF PLURALITY OF RECEIVED CHANNELS. A digital television sytem comprising a decoder for receiving a plurality of channels comprising at least one channel and a service channel, and a display, the decoder comprising: means for generating a service menu for display on said display superimposed over a programme transmitted on one of said received channels, said service menu comprising a list of a plurality of services available to a user; characterised in that said generating means is arranged to generate, upon user selection of one of said listed services fromt he service menu, at least one subsidy menu for display on said display superimposed over said programme together with only the selected one of said listed services to provide the user with a plurality of options for accessing at least one of said received channels. |
