Title of Invention

SPINNING FRAME WITH COMPRESSING DEVICE

Abstract In a spinning frame with a material supply, a drafting unit, a compacting device and a spinning unit a fibre band is being led to a compacting device via a compacting zone. Said compacting device is being provided with a compacting zone with perforation or suction openings respectively, whose inside is being connected to a suction device. Below the compacting device an additional thread guide is being arranged in such a way that the yarn is being diverted by an angle of preferably between 10º and 40º between the compacting device and the spinning unit. Said diversion has the effect that the yarn is better visible during the spinning process. Further the running characteristic is improved.

Spinning frame with compressing device
The invention relates to a spinning frame according to the preamble of the independent claim.
In spinning frames, particularly with compacting devices, there is the problem that the thread being tensioned between the drafting unit or the compacting device respectively, and a winding device is badly visible during operation of the frame. Accordingly it is the object of the present invention to overcome this disadvantage.
With the object of the independent claim said task is being solved. The subclaims relate to preferable further embodiments.
An additional advantage results in an improved running characteristic which results in a reduction of thread breaks.
In the following the invention is being described in more detail according to the drawing.
Fig. 1 shows a schematic illustration of a spinning unit of a spinning frame with a compacting device.
In a conventional spinning frame the material supply 7 consists either of a can or roving bobbin. From the can a fibre band 71 (indicated by dots) is being led to the drafting unit 1. In the case of a roving bobbin the roving is being drawn off from the circumference of the bobbin. Via a diverting device the fibre compound, that is the roving or the fibre band, reaches the area of the drafting unit 1. The drafting unit comprises several pairs of delivery rollers 11, some of which are preferably equipped with belts. Between the first and the second delivery roller pair 11 the fibre compound 71 is being drawn only slightly and between the second and the following roller pair 31 and 33 it is being drawn more strongly, whereat the overall drawing

ratio may exceed the value 100. Between a nip roller 33 and a compacting element 31 the drawn fibre band is being clamped and then being compacted on the compacting device 3, Along the compacting zone 31' a guide 39 preferably in the shape of an umbrella can guide the fibre band on the surface of the compacting element 31. At the end of the compacting zone a blocking roller 35 is being provided, which is pressed against the compacting element and thus limits the twist action from a spinning unit 5 in upstream direction of the material flow. Inside the compacting element 31 there is a suction element 37 being provided which is connected to a suction device 4.
Between the drafting unit 1 and the spinning unit 5 there is a yarn guide 55, which in case of a ring spinning unit limits the yarn balloon of the yarn 73 according to figure 1 in upward direction. In the lower zone of the spinning unit the yarn 73 is being wound onto a yarn package 75 which is accomplished by the rotation of a spindle 59 with a drive and through a traveller 53 on a ring, which is being mounted on a ring rail 51. The height of the yarn package is being determined by the zone of movement of a ring rail drive 57 which moves the ring rail 51 up and down in vertical direction according to figure 1.
According to the invention an additional yarn guide 55' is being arranged in such a way between the compacting device 3 and the spinning unit 5, the yarn guide 55 respectively, that the yarn 73 below the drafting unit 1, the compacting device 3 respectively is being diverted, before reaching the zone of the spinning unit 5. By means of this diversion, vibration of the yarn is being suppressed and thus the visibility of the thread or yarn In the spinning unit is improved. The additional yarn guide 55' can for instance be made as a ceramic part, which preferably is a roll being mounted rotatably on a journal, on whose circumference runs the yarn 73 and which sets the roll into rotation. Preferably the roll is furnished with a V-shaped running surface for the yarn 73.

As can be seen from figure 1 the additional yarn guide 55' is arranged in such a way, that the yarn 73 still remains on the circumference of the compacting element 31, the perforated roller respectively, that is below the compacting element 31 after leaving the clamping gap between the compacting element 31 and the blocking roller 35. The yarn guide 55' is preferably arranged between the compacting device 3 and the spinning unit 5 in such a way that a diverting angle of between 10° and 40° results due to the yarn guide 55'.

1. Spinning frame with a material supply (7), a drafting unit (1) and a spinning unit (5), characterised in that an additional yarn guide (55') is being arranged upstream to the spinning unit (5).
2. Spinning frame according to claim 1, characterised in that
between the drafting unit (1) and the spinning unit (5) a compacting device (3) is being arranged.
3. Spinning frame according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the additional yarn guide (55') is a diverting-element.
4. Spinning frame according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the yarn guide (55') is a roll, which in particular is being supported rotatably on a journal and which preferably is made of ceramic.
5. Spinning frame according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the yarn guide is being arranged below a compacting element (31) of the compacting device (3), in particular in such a way, that the yarn (73) after passing the clamping gap between a compacting element (31) and a blocking roller (35), still remains in contact with the compacting element.
6. Spinning frame according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the additional yarn guide (55') is arranged in such a way, that the yarn is being deviated at an angle of between 10° and 40°.

7. Spinning frame with a material supply, a drafting unit and a spinning unit, substantially as herein described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
