Abstract The present invention discloses an ayurvedic composition useful for the treatment of migraine, composed, of aqueous extract of dried powder of fresh leaves of Psidium guava and aqueous extract of dried powder of fresh leaves of Eucalyptus Camel dulensis plant in a ratio of 1:1 the same is prepared by drying the leaves in shadowed area, crushing the leaves to convert said leaves into powder, mixing both the ingredients in 200 ml. of water and heating up to 100°C on mild flame till the volume of the water reduces to half optionally mixing with sweetener to make the composition sweet for comfortable oral administration to obtain the said composition.
Full Text Field of the invention
This invention relates to an ayurvedic composition useful for the treatment of migraine. This invention also relates to the ayurvedic composition useful for the treatment of migraine.
Prior Art for the invention
Various allopathic medicines are available for the treatment of the migraine so far, however none can treat the migraine permanently. No ayurvedic or homeopathic medicines as yet are known which can treat this problem permanently. The allopathic medications include sedatives and painkillers used during the pain of migraine or attack of the migraine. All the medicines used in allopathic have inherent side effects. Therefore long use of the medicines inspite of it's consistent need become painful and harmful. No ancient medicinal literature like charak sanhita discloses any composition as is disclosed in the foregoing invention for the treatment of the migraine.
Object of the invention
The object of this invention is to provide a novel ayurvedic composition useful for the treatment of migraine. This invention also relates to a process for the preparation of ayurvedic composition useful for the treatment of migraine. Further object of the invention is to provide a method for the treatment of the patient suffering from the migraine. Still further object of the invention is to provide a permanent treatment of the migraine.
Statement of the invention
Accordingly the present invention provides a process for the preparation of an ayurvedic composition useful for the treatment of migraine which comprises collecting of fresh leaves of Psidium guava and fresh leaves of Eucalyptus Camel dulensis plant, drying the leaves in shadowed area, crushing the leaves to convert said leaves into powder, mixing both the ingredients in equal quantity and then taking Img to 20 gm of the mixture in 200 ml. of water and heating up to 100°C on mild flame till the volume of the water reduces to half optionally mixing with sweetener to make the composition sweet for comfortable oral administration to obtain the said composition. The present invention also relates to An ayurvedic composition useful for the treatment of migraine, which is composed, of dried powder of fresh leaves of Psidium guava and dried powder of fresh leaves of Eucalyptus Camel dulensis plant in a ratio of 1:1.
Detailed description of the invention
The ayurvedic composition of the present invention is useful for the treatment of migraine. This gives permanent remedy for the migraine after treatment. The composition of the present invention is composed, of aqueous extract of dried powder of fresh leaves of Psidium guava and aqueous extract of dried powder of fresh leaves of Eucalyptus Camel dulensis plant in a ratio of 1:1. Optionally any sweetener like sugar may be added to make the taste of the composition comfortable to the patient. The number of the leaves of Psidium guava and Eucalyptus Camel dulensis, which is used in the preparation of the aq. Extract may be increased or decreased as per the requirement of the concentration of the medicinal composition. The process for the preparation of the abovesaid composition is as under:
(i) Collecting of fresh leaves of Psidium guava
(ii) Collecting of fresh leaves of Eucalyptus Camel dulensis plant,
(iii) drying the leaves in shadowed area,
(iv) crushing the leaves to convert said leaves into powder,
(v) mixing powdered leaves of Psidium guava and Eucalyptus Camel dulensis plant in a ratio of 1 :1
(vi) mixing 1 mg to 20 gm of mixture in 200 ml. of water
(vii) heating up to 100°C on mild flame till the volume of the water reduces to half
(viii) Optionally mixing with sweetener to make the composition sweet for
comfortable oral administration
The present invention also discloses A process for the preparation of an ayurvedic composition useful for the treatment of migraine which comprises collecting of fresh leaves of Psidium guava and fresh leaves of Eucalyptus Camel dulensis plant, drying the leaves in shadowed area, crushing the leaves to convert said leaves into powder, mixing both the ingredients in equal quantity and optionally mixing with sweetener to make the composition sweet for comfortable oral administration to obtain the said composition
The composition of the present invention as described above is an unique composition , having unexpected properties as compared to the properties of it's ingredients and therefore it is not a mere admixture. Example:
For preparing the composition of the present invention first of all 10 fresh leaves of Psidium guava are collected and then 10 fresh leaves of Eucalyptus Camel dulensis plant
are collected. Both the leaves separately or together are dried in the room for 10days after drying crushing the leaves to convert said leaves into powder, mixing powdered leaves of Psidium guava and Eucalyptus Camel dulensis plant in 200 ml. of water, heating up to 100°C on mild flame till the volume of the water reduces to half and mixing the composition with sweetener to make the composition sweet for comfortable oral administration




I, Claim -
1. A process for the preparation of an ayurvedic composition useful for the
treatment of migraine which comprises collecting of fresh leaves of
Psidium guava and fresh leaves of Eucalyptus Camel dulensis plant, drying
the leaves in shadowed area, crushing the leaves to convert said leaves into
powder, mixing both the ingredients in equal quantity and then taking Img
to 20 gm of the mixture in 200 ml. of water and heating up to 100°C on
mild flame till the volume of the water reduces to half optionally mixing
with sweetener to make the composition sweet for comfortable oral
administration to obtain the said composition.
2. A process for the preparation of an ayurvedic composition useful for die
treatment of migraine as claimed in claim 1 which comprises collecting of
fresh leaves of Psidium guava and fresh leaves of Eucalyptus Camel
dulensis plant, drying the leaves in shadowed area, crushing the leaves to
convert said leaves into powder, mixing both the ingredients in equal
quantity and optionally mixing with sweetener to make the composition
sweet for comfortable oral administration to obtain the said composition.
3. .A process for the preparation of an ayurvedic composition as claimed in
claim 1 wherein the conventional sweeteners may be added to sweeten the
composition.
4. An ayurvedic composition useful for the treatment of migraine, which is
composed, of dried powder of fresh leaves of Psidium guava and dried
powder of fresh leaves of Eucalyptus Camel dulensis plant in a ratio of 1:1.
5. An ayurvedic composition useful for the treatment of migraine as claimed
in Claim 4, composed of Img to 20 gm of equally mixed dried powder of
fresh leaves of Psidium guava and dried powder of fresh leaves of
Eucalyptus Camel dulensis and boiled in 200 ml. of water till the volume of
water reduces to half.
6. An ayurvedic composition as claimed in claim 4 and 5 wherein the
conventional sweeteners may be used.
7. An ayurvedic composition useful for the treatment of migraine
substantially such as herein described.
8. A process for the preparation of an ayurvedic composition useful for fee
treatment of migraine such as substantially as herein described.
