Abstract | The present invention is " iimprovide quality casting process of Jewellwry at low cost" comprises of Wax three veting design procedure - In which wax prototypes is prepared is prepared of all design and assemble them to make a wax which is placed flask and filled with powder to make powder moluld which is placed in a furnance and heater for the wax to burnt and left over caving fillied with molten gold during casting. Modified burnt out cyde : Wax is burnout in the furnace which melts away the wax and leftover wax is bevent into carbon, as the temperature reaches beyond 500 C carbon starts oxidizing into CO2. Rediscoveree burnout cycle . In this cycle wax is completely carbonized at around 500 C and remove with an airjet after 31/2 hour of burnout cycle and after 4 hours the tree is ready to be casted. |

LIVING ST 0 ME S TECHNICAL SERVICES PVT. LTD., (A Joint Stock Company Registered under the Indian companies Act, 1956) through its Directors (I) MR. SANDIP EOTHARI (Indian national), (2) Dr. KAMLAKAR DESAI (Indian National) & (3) MR. AMAR MEHTA (Indian national) having office at 202, A" Wing, Dharam Palace, Hughes Road, Gavdevi, Mumbai - 400 007, India, The following specification particularly describes the nature of this invention & the manner in which it is performed: 19-4-2005 The present invention relatdS to a pfoduct which is an "improved quality casting process of » "1 jewellery at low cost". ^ f Presently, casting process which is being used takes a lot of time fee. Presently total energy cost and losses involved in the process? is iaiso fcriore $■" is ; Object of the present invention:-1 The obj^t of the present invention is to reduce the time consumed, improvement p gj*aiJr size, wear resistance, to reduce porosity, save energy consumption etc., ^j The present invention "improved Quality casting process of jewellery at low cost" will now be explained in detail. " The technique of casting involves three process they are , 1) Wax tree venting design procedure. 2) Modified burnt out cycleftiming 3) Wax burnt carbon;removal technique The process involves preparing wax prototypes for all the designs "assembling them "H make a wax tree. Wax tree is placed into a flask and filled with powder to make a powder mold. This powder mould |s placed in a furnace and heated for the wax to burnout and the leftover cavity is filled 4with molten gold during casting. -2- The process of wax burnout in the furnace is called as "burnout cycle". The traditional I" ■! burnout cycle, currently used by manufacturer, lasts for about twelve hours and furnaces are run overnight. In the initial phafee the burnout cycle melts away the wax. In the later / phases the leftover wax is burnt into carbon. As the temperature reaches beyond 500 this carbon starts oxidizing into|C02. This carbonization and decarbonization itself additional eight hours ofjthe entire cycle. This new technique take out the carbon quickly. This is called as rediscovered cycle". This cycle lasts for four hour and has delivered exceptional results. v The temperature at whicfrvarious steps takes place is given below. 55° C - Wax starts meeting 100° C- water starts vaporizing 127° O Gypsum begins to loose water 160° C- All the gypsum is converted into Plaster of Paris (POP). 250° C-13 (beta) crystobalite transforms into alpha crystobalite, 310° C- water starts vaporizing alpha crystobalite 540° C- Carbon starts oxidizing into CO & C02 620° C- investment is de-carbonized ready to be casted. As per the old cycle all-important processes takes place in the first phase 300° C. Even the powder mould to get ready for casting takes only one hour after maximurm \ temperature (620° C) is reached. That means only three are! required for all these processes. The rest of the cycle time does only the carbonizatid&i of wax and decarbonization of powder mould. -3- In this rediscovered process there is a provision made to quickly get rid of this^ carbon. The carbonised wax is removed by air jet after 3 1/2 hours of burnout cycle and after 4 hours the tree is ready to be casted. The present invention is more advantageous as compared to the conventional casting method. It is as explained below.: Due to the present process the manufacturing time for making jewellery item is significantly reduced. The 12 hours burnout cycle is shortened to 4/4 hours and also the further finishing time is reduced due to improved quality of casting. There is direct saving and electrical energy cost by 66% and decreased labour cost by 30%. Porosity is reduced due to; which there is reduced work in filling and furnishing. The over heating of investment flask is reduced due to decreased time cycle and temperature. This has make casting of wax set stone casting more safe. -4. We Claim :- An improved quality casting process of Jewellery at low cost comprises of : (a) wax tree venting design procedure involves preparing wax prototypes for all the designs, assembling them to make a wax tree^ and placed into a flask, filled with powder to make powder moulds, which is placed into a flask, and filled with molten gold during casting; (b) modified burnt out cycle comprises of burnt out of wax in the furnace which melts away the wax in initial phase and in later phase* the leftover wax is burnt into carbon, as the temperature reaches^ beyond 500 C carbpn starts oxidizing into C02; (c) wax burnt carbon technique or rediscovered burnt cycle in which at 55 ° C wax starts melting, at 100 ° C water starts vaporizing, at 127 ° C all the gypsum begins to loose water, at 100 ° C all the gypsum is converted inter plasterofparis(POP), at 250 ° C B(beta) crystobalite transforms into alpha crystobalite at 310 ° C water starts vaporizing into crystobalite ,at 540° C carbon starts oxidizing into CO & C02,at 620 ° C investment is decarbonizes ready to be casted ,the carbonized wax is removed by air jet after 3hours of burnt out cycle and after 4 hours the tree is ready to be casted.
