Full Text | FORM 2 THE PATENT ACT, 1970 (39 OF 1970) COMPLETE SPECIFICATION (See Section 10) TITLE: A METHOD OF ARTIFICIALLY COLOURING OF MARBLES/TILES APPLICANT: MR. SANJAY CHOWDRI Row House No.9, Divya Swapna Co-Op. Hsg,, Ltd., Dr. C.P. Gidwani Road, Chembur, Mumbail- 400 014, Maharashtra, India, Indian National. THE FOLLOWING COMPLETE SPECIFICATION PARTICULARLY DESCRIBES THE NATURE OF THE INVENTION AND THE MANNER IN WHICH IT IS TO BE PERFORMED A method of Artificially colouring of marbles/tiles are done in a cooled process by heating of the marbles/tiles and dyes of cold brand is used . In case of hot process heating of marbles are provided with dyes of hot brand The invention with now be described with reference to examples, Example 1 Pretreating the marbles/tiles which are to be artificially colouring by heating the marble/titles in a furnace at temperature 300 C or boiling the marbles/tiles in a dye bath maintained at 100 C for 4 hours. A dye bath was prepared with suitable dye preferably direct or reactive dye or there combination most preferably 1 % to 4 % by weight of water the marbles are immersed in the dye bath for one day, The marbles with colour on there surface are washed and developed by impregnating in suitable oil for fixing the colour for 12 hours, Example 2 Pretreating the marbles/tiles which are to be artificially colouring by heating the marbles/tiles in a furnace at temperature 100*C of boiling the marbles/tiles in a dye bath maintained at 100 C for 2 hours. A dye bath was prepared with suitable dye preferably direct of reactive dye of there combination most preferably 1 % to 4 % by weight of water the marbles are immersed in the dye bath for one day. The marbles with colour on there surface are washed and developed by impregnating in suitable oil for fixing the colour for 12 hours. The invention relates to a method of colouring of marbles. More particularly a method of artificially colouring of marbles. The conventional methods of colouring of marbles are not permanent in nature therefore not long lasting. Marbles are used for decorative work and for flooring, indoor furnishing work. The inventor has developed a method of colouring marbles which is long lasting and permanent in nature. Different types of dyes are used for clouring of marbles, Most common dyes are direst dyes, reactive dyes. The principle object of this invention is to provide a method of artificially colouring of marbles which does not fade easily, Another object of this invention is to provide a method of artificially colouring of marbles which is long lasting and permanent in nature, Still another object of this invention it to provide a method of artificially colouring of marbles which are easy to manufacture. Accordingly there is provided a method of artificially colouring of marbles comprises of the following steps:- 1, Cleaning the marbles/tile with water. o 2, pretreating the marbles/tiles in a furnace by heating at 100 C to 300 C Or by boiling the marbles/tiles in dye bath for 2 to 4 hours. 3, immersing the marbles/tile in a dye bath containing suitable dyes at room temperature for one to thirty days depending upon the type of marbles/tiles and colour used, 4, washing the marbles/tiles of step 3 with water and drying. 5, fixing and developing the colour in a fixing bath containing suitable oil by impregnating the marbles/tiles of step 4 for at least twelve hours. I claim: 1. A method of artificially colouring of marbles/tiles comprising the following step; a) cleaning the marbles/tile with water; b) treating the marbles/tiles in a furnace by heating at 100 C to 300 C or by boiling the marbles/tiles in dye bath for 2 to 4 hours. c) Immersing the marbles/tiles in a dye bath containing suitable dyes at room temperature for one to thirty days depending upon the type of marbles/tiles and colour used; d) Washing the marbles/tiles of step(C)with water and drying. e) Fixing and developing the colour in a fixing bath containing suitable oil by impregnating the marbles/tiles of step (d) for at least twelve hours, 2. A method of artificially colouring of marbles/tiles as claimed in claim 1 and substantially herein described and illustrated in examples 1 and 2. (SANJAY CHOWDR1) |
