PROCESS FOR THE RECOVERY OF FLUORINATED EMULSIFIERS FROM AN AQUEOUS PHASE

Abstract The invention relates to a method for recovering fluorinated emulsifiers from an aqueous phase containing small quantities of fluoro-polymer particles. According to the inventive method, the aqueous phase is treated with a small quantity of a non-ionic surface-active agent, the treated aqueous phase is brought into contact with an anionic exchanger resin, and the adsorbed emulsifier is separated from the exchanger resin. The fine particle fluoro polymer can be quantitatively precipitated in the untreated aqueous phase or the eluate.
