Title of Invention

SHIKAKAI IN THE FORM OF PASTE

Abstract Shikakai in the form of Paste is obtained by (netting 3.2% of cetostearyl alcohol on a steam bath at 70 degree centigrade to form mixture A, which is transferred onto a mixer. 61% of de-mineralised water is heated in another vessel separately at 70 degree centigrade in which 3.8% of Sodium Lauryi Sulphate is dissolved to result in mixture B. Mixture A and Mixture 6 are stirred together for 15 minutes at 70 degree centigrade, which is mixture C. 4.7% of propylene glycol Is added to mixture C and stirred to form Mixture D. Dissolve 0.1% of Bronopol In 1% of de-mineralised water at 70 degree centigrade to form Mixture E. Mixing of Mixture D and E results In Mixture F. Add 26.2% of powdered shikakai to mixture F and stir for 15 minutes at 70 degree centigrade constantly for proper distribution. Add suitable fragrance after cooling for aroma.
Full Text SHIKAKAI, generic name being Acacia Concina was all these days available in the form of powder, which was compounded with other additives, traditionally used for a complete bath. Generally, such compounded Shikakai Powder is mixed with an adequate quantity of water, consequenting in a paste, which is later gently massaged on to the scalp, normally while having an oil bath. This was to ensure the naturalness of the hair, nourishment to the hairs and for the removal of lice and dandruff. Further, this also arrests hair fa11.'
The purpose of this Invention 'SHIKAKAI IN THE FORM OF PASTE" is to ensure that a readymade pack is available to the consumers, which relieves them the task of selecting suitable proportion of the powder and water before mixing them for application and does not call for another vessel in aid of the same. "SHIKAKAI IN THE FORM OF PASTE" is suitabl, packed, available in pouches and also in containers, depending on the volume, wherein the consumer can directly apply to his scalp thereby eliminating the step of 'mixing', which not only saves the consumer's time but also relieves him of the task of mixing'. Further, "SHIKAKAI IN THE FORM OF PASTE"carries fragrance, which ' results in an aromatic bath and at the same time retaining the freshness and naturalness.

For arriving at "SHIKAKAI IN THE FORM OF PASTE", 3.2% by weight of Cetostearyl Alchohol is melt either on a Steam bath or Water bath at 70 deg.centigrade, which is transferred on to a planetary mixer, which shall form the Mixture 'A' .
61% of De-mineralised water is separately heated at
70 deg.C in another vessel. 3.8% of Sodium Lauryl sulphate
is dissolved in it, which is Mixture 'B'. Mixture 'B' is
transferred on the Planetary Mixer and is mixed with
Mixture 'A' by continous stirring for 15 minutes 'at 70 deg.C
which results in Mixture 'C'. '
Next, add 4.7% of Propylene Glycol to Mixture 'C on the Planetary Mixer, mixing it by continous mixing, which yields in Mixture 'D'.
Next, dissolve 0.1% of Bronopol in 1% of De-mineralised water at 70 deg.C, which results in Mixture 'E'.
I C I
Transfer Mixture 'E' to the Planetary Mixer and mix it with Mixture 'D', which leads to the formation of Mixture *F
Add 26.2% of Shikakai (Acacia Concina) in fine powder form to the planetary mixer in small quantities at a time mixing it with Mixture 'F', stirring constantly to ensure, proper distribution. Continue this process till the entire 26.2% is transferred to the planetary mixer. Maintain the temperature at 70 deg.C, throughout the mixing process. Mix well for about 15 minutes by continous stirring.

Allow the resultant mixture to cool. Add suitable fragrance in appropriate quantity and mix thoroughly, which is ready for packing the next day. Thus "SHIKAKAI IN THE FORM OF PASTE" is ready, being first of its kind, conceived and developed by the Applicants.

WE CLAIM,
"SHIKAKAI IN THE FORM OF PASTE", which is obtained by melting 3.2% of Cetostearyl Alchohol on a water/steam bath at 70 deg.C, which is Mixture 'A', which is transferred on to a Planetary mixer; 61% of De-mineralised water is heated in another vessel separately at 70 deg.C, in which 3,.8% of Sodium Lauryl Sulphate is dissolved to result in Mixture 'B'; Mixture 'B' is transferred to the planetary mixer and mixe'd with Mixture 'A" by continous stirring for 15 minutes at 70 deg.C, resulting in Mixture 'C'; add 4.7% of Propylene Glycol to Mixture 'C' on the Planetary Mixer, stirring continously resulting in Mixture 'D'; dissolve 0.1% of Bronopol in 1% of De-mineralised water at 70 deg.C, which results in Mixture 'E'; transfer Mixture 'E' to the planetary Mixer and mix it with Mixer 'D', which results in Mixture 'F'; add 25.2% of finely powdered shikakai (Acacia Concina) to Mixture 'F' and stir constantly for proper distribution for 15 minutes at 70 deg.C; cool the' resultant mixture and add appropriate quantity of suitable fragrance' for aroma.
