Title of Invention | VENTED DISPENSER |
---|---|
Abstract | A vented dispenser for use with liquid products has a deformable body, a first valve assembly and a second valve assembly. The first valve assembly permits liquid to exit the dispenser if pressure within the deformable body is greater than external pressure. The second valve assembly permits air to enter the dispenser if pressure within the deformable body is less them external pressure. The liquid exits the bottle through the first valve assembly when an external pressure is applied to the deformable body. The first valve assembly closes when the external pressure is no longer applied. The deformable body, however, made from an elastic material having memory, will try and attain its original shape, thereby causing pressure inside the vented dispenser to decrease below the ambient pressure. The decrease in the internal pressure will cause the second valve assembly to open and air will enter the bottle, thus equalizing internal pressure to ambient pressure. The control of the internal pressure results in enabling substantially all of the fluid to leave the bottle. |
Full Text | A vented dispenser for use with liquid products has a deformable body, a first valve assembly and a second valve assembly. 1. A vented dispenser comprising: - a deformable body containing liquid or air, - a first valve assembly in said deformable body for controlling liquid flow from said deformable body, said first valve assembly selectively opening in response to a pressure increase within said deformable body, and - a second valve assembly for controlling air 1km into said deformable body, said second valve assembly selectively opening in response to a pressure decrease within said deformable body, wherein said second valve assembly and said first valve assembly alternatively open in response to said pressure increase or said pressure decrease within said deformable body. 2. The vented dispenser as claimed in Claim 1 wherein said first valve assembly has en inlet, an outlet and a sleeve adjustably surrounding the outlet, the sleeve having an opening for permitting flow of said liquid. 3. The vented dispenser as claimed in Claim 2 wherein said outlet of said first valve assembly has multiple channels. 4. The vented dispenser as claimed in Claim 1 wherein said first valve assembly is positioned at first end of said deformable body and said second valve assembly is positioned at a second end of said deformable body. 5. The vented dispenser as claimed in Claim 1 wherein said first end has a removable cap. 6. The vented dispenser as claimed in Claim 1 wherein it comprises a base for supporting said deformable body. 7. The vented dispenser as claimed in Claim 4 wherein it comprises a base for supporting said deformable body at said first end, said base buttressing said deformable body, said first valve assembly distending from said first end of said deformable body within the base. 8. The vented dispenser as claimed in Claim 1, wherein said deformable body, said first valve and second valve are unitarily formed. 9. A vented dispenser comprising: a deformable body made irom a flexible elastic material, said deformable body able to rebound firom a temporarily deformed shape to an origiaal un-deformed shape, a first valve assembly having an inlet, an outlet, a valve body and an expandable first sleeve formed around said first "valve body, said sleeve responding to a pressure increase within said deformable body relative to an ambient pressure by expanding away from said valve body to open said outlet of said first valve assembly and to permit fluid flow firom said deformable body, and a second valve assembly having an inlet, an outlet, a valve body and an expandable second sleeve forward around said second valve body, said sleeve responding to a pressure decrease within said deformable body relative to an ambient pressure by expanding away from said second valve body to open said outlet of said second valve assembly and to permit ambient air to enter said deformable body. 10. The vented dispenser as claimed in Claim 9 wherein said outlet of said first valve assembly has multiple channels. 11. The vented dispenser as claimed in Claim 9 wherein said first valve assembly is positioned at first end of said deformable body and the second valve assembly is positioned at second end of said deformable body. 12. The vented dispenser as claimed in Claim 11 wherein said first end has a removable cap. 13. The vented dispenser as claimed in Claim 9 wherein said d^ormable body has a base for supporting said deformable body. 14. The vented dispenser as claimed in Claim 13 wherein said base buttresses said deformable body and said first valve assembly distends from an end of said deformable body within said base. 15. The vented dispenser as claimed in Claim 9, wherein said deformable body, said first valve assembly and said second valve assembly are unitarily formed. 16. A vented dispenser comprising: a first valve assembly having a first valve body defining a valve inlet having a single channel and a first valve outlet having multiple channels, said first valve body being surrounded by an expandable sleeve having at least one opening, said sleeve expanding outwardly from said first valve body to open said first valve outlet, a second valve assembly including a valve body defixdng a second valve inlet having a single channel and a second valve having multiple channels, said second valve body being surrounded by an expandable second sleeve having at least one opening, said second sleeve expanding outwardly from said second valve body to open said second valve outlet, and a deformable body made from an elastic material and mounting said first valve assembly and said second valve assembly. 17. The vented dispenser as claimed in Claim 16 wherein. it comprises a base for supporting said deformable body. 18. The vented dispenser as claimed in Claim 17, wherein said base buttresses, the said deformable body and said first valve assembly distends from said deformable body within said base. 19. The vented dispenser as claimed in Claim 16 wherein said deformable body, said first valve assembly and said second valve assembly are unitarily formed. |
