Detailed Description of the Invention
A fruits harvesting device according to a preferred embodiment is herein described
and illustrated in the accompanying drawings wherein:
Fig.l - shows the perspective view of the device,
Fig.2 - shows the side view of the device,
Fig. 3 - shows the side view of the device at the extended position,
Fig.4 - shows the schematic view of the hydraulic system
Referring to the drawing particularly fig.l & fig. 2, a fiiiits harvesting device has a main arm (1), the lower end of which is secured at the rear end (2) of the rotatable frame (3) of the device. The upper portion of the main arm (1) is adapted to be supported on a sliding blocks (4) secured at the top ends of the support arms (5). A pair of hydraulic cylinder (6) is provided on the top of the guiding means (7) provided for rotating the rotatable frame (3) mounted thereon. The hydraulic cylinders (6) are provided for raising and lowering said support arms (5) and thus raising and lowering the main arm (1). An extending arm (8) is provided on the top surface of the front portion of the main arm (1) such that to be extended and retracted with by means of a hydraulic cylinder (9) provided therewith at the bottom end thereof. A top arm (10) is pivotally secured at the top end of the extending arm (8) (see fig. 3 also). A pairs of hydraulic cylinder (11) are provided between the lower portion of the top arm (10) and the top end of the extending arm (8) for raising and lowering the top arm as and

when required. A basket (12) is provided at the top end of top arm (10) for accommodating the user for harvesting purposes. Locking arms (13) are provided between the front end of the rotatable frame (3) and top end of the main arm (1) for locking the raising/lowering movement of the main arm (1). The rotatable frame (3) is mounted on the main frame ((14) by means of guiding means (7). The guiding means (7) has a lower plate (not shown) and an upper plate (15) provided on the lower plate rotatably. A guiding rails (16) mounted on the frame (17) of the guiding means (7). The lower ends of the support arms (5) are secured towards the rear end of the rotatable frame (3) by means of connecting arms (18). The lower ends of the support arms (5) are secured pivotally with the top ends of the connecting arms (18). The main frame (14) is adapted to be mounted on the chassis of the tractor. A jack (19) is provided at the back side of the main frame so as to provide the stability to the device during harvesting operation of the device.
As shown in Fig 4, the hydrauUc system comprises a main oil tank (20) provided for containing the hydraulic oil therein. The hydraulic pump (21) adapted to be operated by means of the engine (22) of the tractor is connected to the oil tank (20) by means of conveying pipe (23) connected with the inlet end of the hydraulic pump (21). The outlet end of the hydraulic pump (21) is connected to a distributor (24) by means of an oil conveying pipe (25) through the check valves (26) and relief valve (27). The hydraulic cylinders (6, 11 and 9) are connected to the distributor by means of respecting conveying pipes (28) respectively such that to provide supply of oil to said hydraulic cylinders as and when required in order to operate such cylinders by means of different levers provided near the driver of the tractor (not shown). An oil cooler (29) is connected with the distributor (24) such that to receive the hydraulic oil and convey the same to the oil tank (20) through convejdng pipe (30) and after cooUng the oil therein.
During the operation of the device the hydraulic system supplies the oil to the hydraulic cylinder (6) so as to raise the main arm (1) of the device (shown in Fig 2). The hydraulic oil is then suppHed to the hydraulic cylinder (9) in order to extend the

extending arm (8) to its maximum/minimum limit as per the requirement. Now the hydraulic oil is supplied to the hydraulic cylinders (11) in order to raise the top arm (10) to the required height for harvesting the fruits. When the harvesting is completed the top arm is first lowered, then extending arm is retracted and then the main arm is lowered to its original position. Dxiring the operation and if the top arm is to be rotated the hydraulic oil is supplied to the hydraulic cylinder provided with rotatable frame.
