| Abstract | The invention relates to a blood collection monitor system and more specifically to a Multi Axis Collection Monitor for collecting the programmed volume of blood in a bag and for inducing swirling action to the mixture of collected blood and anticoagulant in the bag. The Multi Axis Blood Collection Monitor comprising a blood mixing system (A) and a blood collection monitor system (B). Said blood collection system (A) further comprises microprocessor programmer, weigh sensor limit switch and a clamping device, such that the said microprocessor controls the predetermined desired weight/volume of blood collection, the said limit switch to sense the weight/volume of blood collected and said clamping device to pinch of the tube to stop the collection. Said Blood mixing system (B) further comprises of a detachable tray mounted at a single point pivot on a magnetic cup, said magnetic cup attached to a roller follower, said roller follower actuated by a truncated cam said truncated cam couple to a motor such that when the said truncated cam operable by said motor rotates, the said roller follower moves thereby giving a multi-axial motion to the said attached magnetic cup alongwith said tray pivoted within. Further said blood collection system(A) and blood mixing system (B) are so operably connected such that blood collection system controls programmably the volume of blood collected in the blood bag placed in the said tray of blood mixing system and blood mixing system thereafter provides a multi-axis swirling action to the collected blood alongwith anticoagulant. |
