Title of Invention

A WATER-RETARDANT AND EASY-TEARING FILM LAMINA

Abstract A water-retardant and easy-tearing film lamina is disclosed. The lamina (referring to the printing papers like labelstock) is laminated on top with a film of biaxial oriented polypropylene (BOPP) to retard the encroachment of water or a printable prepared layer is applied on top of the film of biaxial oriented polypropryiene (BOPP). Further, the biaxial oriented polypropylene (BOPP) can be laminated at both upper and lower sides with a layer of fastening agent respectively which is further applied on top with a releasing layer. In the film of the biaxial oriented polypoprylene (BOPP) is pre-cut with tracks or openings of different shapes such as circle or rectangle at a proper interval so that the lamina can be easily torn apart at the pre-cut tracks or openings to provide a easy-tearing as well as water-retardant film lamina.
Full Text WATER-RETARDANT, EASY-TEARIHG FILM LAMINA BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a water-retardant and easy-tearing film lamina, especially to a lamina applied on a surface with a film of biaxial oriented polypropylene (BOPP), or laminated on top with a printable prepared layer disposed on the surface of the layer of the biaxial oriented polypropylene(BOPP) Also the biaxial oriented polypropylene (BOPP) can be laminated at both upper and lower sides with a layer of fastening agent respectively which is further applied on top with a releasing agent. The lamina is precut in the film with tracks or openings of different shapes such as circle or rectangle at a proper interval so as to provide the advantage of easy-tearing besides water-retarding.
A conventional lamina generally falls into two kinds-one paper-made and the other film-made. Please refer to Fig.l. Though having the advantages of easy-printing and easy-tearing, the lamina 1, made of paper, cannot retard the encroachment of water. And to achieve the advantage of water-retarding, the lamina 1 is applied on the surface with a film of biaxial oriented polypropylene. Yet, the lamina, made of film and improved in the ability of water-retarding, has lost the advantage of easy-tearing.

SUMMARY OF THE PRESENT INVENITON
It is, therefore, the primary purpose of the present invention to provide a water-retardant and easy-tearing film lamina, especially to a lamina applied on the surface with a film of biaxial oriented polypropylene (BOPP) or laminated on top with a printable prepared layer disposed at the surface of the film of biaxial oriented polypropylene (BOPP), or sandwiching the biaxial oriented polypropylene (BOPP) there between two layers of fastening agents which are further applied with a releasing layer respectively so as to retard the encroachment of water. The lamina is precut in the film with tracks or openings of different shapes such as circle or rectangle at a proper interval so that the lamina can be easily torn apart at the pre-cut tracks or openings.
Accordingly the present invention provides a water-retardant and easy-tearing film lamina, particularly to a printing paper (or a labelstock) applied on the surface with a fin to retard water after printing, characterized in that: said lamina is laminated on top with a layer of biaxial oriented polypropylene (BOPP) having tracks or openings of different shapes such as circle or rectangle pre-cut at a proper interval in the film of said layer of BOPP thereof to ensure the advantage of easy-tearing besides that of water-retardant.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
Please refer to Fig. 2. The present invention relates to a water-retardant and easy-tearing lamina. The lamina 1 (referring to the printing papers, especially to the labelstock) is laminated with a releasing layer 12 on the bottom side by a layer of fastening agent 11. On the top side of the lamina 1 is applied with a film of biaxial oriented polypropylene (BOPP) 10 so as to retard the encroachment of water. In the film of the biaxial oriented polypropylene (BOPP) 18 is precut at a proper interval with tracks 13 or openings 14 of different shapes such as the rectangular tracks as shown in Fig. 2A or the circular openings as shown in Fig. 2B so that the lamina 4 can be easily torn apart at the pre-cut tracks 13 or openings 14.
Please refer to Fig. 3. The lamina 1 is laminated on top with a printable prepared layer 21 applied on the surface of the film of the biaxial oriented polypropylene (BOPP)10. Under the film of the biaxial oriented polypropylene(BOPP)19 is disposed a layer of fastening agent 11 which is further applied with a releasing layer 12 at the bottom. Moreover, the film of the biaxial oriented

polypropylene(BOPP) can be precut with tracks 13 or openings 14 of different shapes at a proper interval on the surfaces so as to ensure the easy-tearing of the lamina 1.
Please refer to Fig. 4. The film of biaxial oriented polypropylene (BOPP) 10 is laminated at both upper and lower faces with a layer of fastening agent 11 respectively which is further applied on top with a releasing layer 12. Moreover, the film of the biaxial oriented polypropylene(BOPP) is precut with tracks 13 or openings 14 of different shapes at a proper interval as shown in Figs. 5, 5A, permitting the easy-tearing of the water-retardant film which can be fastened on both sides.

WE CLAIM;
1. A water retardant and easy-tearing film lamina, particularly to a printing paper
(or a labelstock) applied on the surface with a film to retard water after printing,
characterized in that: said lamina is laminated on top with a layer of biaxial oriented
polypropylene (BOPP) having tracks or openings of different shapes such as circle or
rectangle pre-cut at a proper interval in the film of said layer of BOPP thereof to
ensure the advantage of easy-tearing besides that of water-retardant.
2. The water-retardant and easy-tearing fin lamina as claimed in claim 1, wherein the biaxial oriented polypropylene (BOPP) is applied on top with a printable prepared layer and pre-cut in the film with tracks or openings of different shapes such as circle or rectangle to ensure the easy-tearing as well as water-retardant of the lamina.
3. The water-retardant and easy-tearing lamina as claimed in claim 1, wherein the biaxial oriented polypropylene (BOPP) is placed there between two layers of fastening agents which are further applied on top with a releasing layer respectively; said lamina is pre-cut in the fin with tracks or openings of circle or rectangular, facilitating the easy-tearing as well as water-retardant of the lamina.
4. A water-retardant and easy-tearing fin lamina, substantially as herein
described and illustrated with reference to figures 2 to 5 of the accompanying
drawings.
