Abstract The present invention provides a device automatically switching on / off the water pump motor for water tank comprising a check valve (1) inserted in the main line of water ahead of water pump (5), a microswitch (4) to supply electrical neutral current to motor (6) while on with water supply and off when no water supply position with the help of soft spring (2) and a 'O' ring (3); another check valve (7) after the pump (5) to prevent the water supply from going down, a pressure valve assembly (PV) after check valve (7) having a cylinder (8), a rubber tube (10) closed at one end , a piston (9) spring (12) to control pressure adjustment knob (13), piston shaft (14) with adjustable slide (15) to actuate another micro switch (17) when water tank empty; a water stopper valve (WSV) fitted inside the water tank and having a piston (20) inside cylinder (19) to control on and off of water supply by sliding shaft (23) another sliding shaft (23A) to carry a spring (24) , a repet pin (25), spring ball (26) spring ball holder (27), sliding knob (28) to slide the piston (20) another air ball (30) provided on shaft (31) with repet pin (32) and holder (33) to prevent piston to come out..
Full Text Field of the invention
This invention relates to a device automatically switching on / off the water pump motor for water tank when the water tank is empty or fully filled with water respectively. This device therefore is useful in saving the water pump life and the electricity . Prior Art for the invention
So far two type of devices for preventing overflow of water or for indicating water level are known in the prior art.
One of the abovesaid devices contains a water level indicator and an alarm which gives alarm sound to prevent overflow of water from the tank. In the other device it gives an alarm sound when the water tank is 25 or 50 % filled as is fixed for the purpose and the water pump will be switch on or off accordingly. This is basically a warning system, which warns the consumer about the position of the water level in the tank. These devices have certain drawbacks such as these require connecting wires for connecting the device with booster pump to overhead tank resulting the system costly, dangerous (because of possibility of cuts or cracks in wire and current leakage there from) inconvenient look wise.
Object of the invention
The object of this invention is to obviate the drawbacks of the prior art and to provide a device automatically switching on / off the water pump motor. The device of the present invention completely eliminates the connecting wire. Another object of the present invention is to provide a Compact device fixable adjacent to the water motor/ pump to overhead tank. Still further object of the invention is to provide a totally mechanical device which is less expensive as compared to the devices already known in the prior art.
Statement of the invention
Accordingly the present invention provides a device automatically switching on / off the water pump motor for water tank comprising a check valve (1) inserted in the main line of water ahead of water pump (5), a microswitch (4) to supply electrical neutral current to motor (6) while on with water supply and off when no water supply position with the help of soft spring (2) and a 'O' ring (3); another check valve (7) after the pump (5) to prevent the water supply from going down, a pressure valve assembly (PV) after check valve (7) having a cylinder (8), a rubber tube (10) closed at one end , a piston (9) spring (12) to control pressure adjustment knob (13), piston shaft (14) with
adjustable slide (15) to actuate another micro switch (17) when water tank empty; a water stopper valve (WSV) fitted inside the water tank and having a piston (20) inside cylinder (19) to control on and off of water supply by sliding shaft (23) another sliding shaft (23A) to carry a spring (24) , a repet pin (25), spring ball (26) spring ball holder (27), sliding knob (28) to slide the piston (20) another air ball (30) provided on shaft (31) with repet pin (32) and holder (33) to prevent piston to come out. Detailed description of the invention
Now the invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings in which: Fig: 1 represents the various features of the device Fig 2 represents water off position in water tank Fig 3 represents water on position in water tank
As shown in fig 1 the device consists of a check valve (1) inserted in the main line of water ahead of water pump (5) will be automatically lifted up by the water pressure and in turn ^)tch on the Microswitch (4) to supply electrical neutral current to motor (6) and will get off at no water supply position with the help of soft spring (2) and a 'O' ring seal (3). Another check valve (7) is provided after the pump (5) to prevent the
water supply from going down and will remain open with the pressure of water and will close when the water pressure is off. A pressure valve assembly (PV) is provided which is positioned after check valve (7) having a cylinder (8), a rubber tube (10) closed at one end , a piston (9) on shaft (14), spring (12) pressure adjustment knob (13), adjustable slide (15) functionally in relation to another micro switch (17). Microswitch (17) will go off when water tank gets full resulting the rubber tube gets swallowed and pushes the piston (9) outward causing Microswitch (17) to go off ajad will go on when the water tank get emptying moving piston (9) to move inward to its original position.
As depicted in fig. 3 there is provided a water stopper valve (WSV) which is fitted in the water tank and having a piston (20) fitted in cylinder (19) to control on and off of water supply with the help of the sliding knob (28) air wall (22) fitted on one side of sliding shaft (23) . Another sliding shaft (23A) is provided to carry a spring (24) , repet pin (25), spring ball (26) spring ball holder (27), sliding knob (28) to slide the piston (20) when the shaft goes up and down.
Another air ball (30)is provided on shaft (31) with repet pin (32) and holding (33) to prevent piston to come out. Main supply phase (35) is
first connected to on/off main switch (34) then to Microswitch (17) in turn with motor (6). Main supply neutral (36) is first connected to Microswitch (4) and then to motor.
In my one of the embodiment a relay (37) has been provided which takes current from the transformer (38) and stops electric supply to motor (6). By using the relay, motor (6) shall not be "ON" unless the main switch is first put "OFF" and then is switched "ON" again. Transformer (38) shall get current supply (36) from Microswitch (4) and (17) . When the tank gets full, Microswitch (17) shall put supply "OFF" position of motor (6) and in turn supply current to transformer (38) resulting relay to get "ON" and motor current "OFF" The motor shall remain "OFF" till time relay is "ON". When fully automatic system is required then ON/OFF swfyc^ (39) needs to be turn OFF.

2. A device automatically switching ON/OFF the water pump motor (6) as
claimed in claim 1 where in a relay (37) has been provided with transformer
(38) to stop current supply to motor (6) , thus making the system
semiautomatic as per requirement and putting ON/OFF switch (39) in
operation when system is switched on to fully automatic.
3. A device automatically switching on / off the water pump motor for water
tank substantially such as herein described with reference to the
description and drawings.
