Full Text ELECTRONIC OPTIMUM L.P.G. BURNING SYSTEM.,
L. P G. :- liquified Petroleum gas obtained from crude Oil i.e. Petroleum, BP L.PG. CONSUMPTION :-The quantity of L. P. G. consumption in world per year 5 million T.+
and in India 0.3 million T. +
?
L. P G. burning system :- In (comperssion) other fuel the L. P. G. burning system is simple with considerable Thermal output 1600 K-Cal/ l00gm./hour.
IS-4246 :- As per IS - 4246 the Thermal efficiency of present L. P. G. burning
system is about 68%.
The large/small burner of conventional burning system under IS - 4246, consumes 189 gm./143 gm. of L. P. G. per hour with output 2064 K.Cal./ 1554 K. Cal.
Cal. value of L.PG. - 16000 K.Cal/ Kg. (+ )
i
Saving of L.P.G. :- By following the P. C. R.A.TIPS consumptioncan be reduced by
10 - 20%.
Properties of L. P. G. :- 1. It's density at liquid condition/comprissed is .55 gm/cc/ ml.
Cal. value 1600 K.Cal. per 100 gms. & highlyi flammable.
General reaction with Oxigen :-C3H8 + O2 CO2 + H2O
C4H10 4- O2 -- CO2 +H2O
1st reaction L. P. G. 100 gm. takes 363 gm. oxygen.
2nd reaction L. P. G. 100 gm. takes 358 gm. oxygen.
So, if the required quantity of oxygen is supplied to the Burning System prior to
burning at a burning temperature over)l20oC of L. P. G. by maintaining other conditions than
optimum burning can be achived.

Conventional L.P.G. Burning System has some Limitation to Supply adequate quantity of O2 to L.P.G. As the supply of O2 is done externally, Mainly by the artificially created Low atmosphere Pressure at L.P.G. entry & at the burning point. So sufficient O2 may be supply to the system.
Moreover, the quantity of O2 reaches to the system can not be properly mixed with the L.P.G., which is very essential for optimum burning.
The Temperature felling due to sudden expansion of L.P.G. from compressed condition is also a cause to inefficient burning, as the L.P.G. need a standard Temperature level for proper burning. The conventional L.P. G. burning system not is fully effective to maintain the temperature level, as the L.P.G. come to the burning point within a fraction of second.
Present burning system:- As per IS 4246 the thermal efficiency of L. P. G. is achived upto 68%. So the rest 32% is not in our catching.
Improvement of Thermal efficiency :- The Thermal efficiency can be improved by developing the efficient burning system with respect to the present burning system. So scientigts should develope such burning system which, will be able to burn the L. P. G. at its optimum level. This will help to reduce the consumption of L. P. G.
Air Pollution;- As we know, incomplete burning of L. P. G. increase air pollution by releasing un burnt Hydro Carbons in the air So, an efficient burning system only can burn the L. P. G. at optimum level, where escaping of Hydro carbon can be minimised and air pollution can be re-duced.
What is an Electronic optimum L. P. G. Burning System :-
It has been observed that the present IS - 4246 L. P. G. Burning system with 68% of Thermal Efficiency cannot burn the total input L. P. G. and result a certain percentage of L. P. G. escape in the air because the system can not maintain the proper condition of efficient burning.
The Electronic L.P.G. Optimum Burning system is so designed that it, can maintain the burning condition of L. P. G. by its Electronics Controlled System.
1. By supply internally required quantity of oxygen. (100 - 300 gm./hour.)
2. By Homogeneous mixing of L. P. G. with O2/Air.
3. . By maintaining flow rate and Pressure head of mixed gas. c/
4. By recouping and enhancing the L P. G. Temperature, lost due to Adb Loss.

5. By maintain the Burning Temperature at Burning point = 1200 before burning.
6. By spraying the Total Mixed gas at Burning point
7. By maintain correct flame, colour and heat emmition.
8. Burning point, temperature is fixed/5500C.
9. By enhencing the convextion and radiation.
All the above performance are achieved by an Electronic control system with some specific development over present burning system with the help of minimum /negligible electric power consumption.
Target of the system:- It is clear from the previous conception that the Target of the system is to
get the poper use of L. P. G., to increase the Thermal refficiency i.e. to save L. P. G. and reduce
pollution and reduce cooking time.
System Operation :- As system is switched on full LED lighting with voltage sensing(bepping) sound will indicate that system is on.
2. By Regulating the voltage Regulator critical voltage is maintained then RED LED will disappear.
3. As the processor is switched on. Further The LED light appears at low level, initially at blinking
mode.
4. As gas valve is switched on. The system is Automatically sensed.
* As voltage senser and pressure sensor is in built in this system.
5. As the fire is put the burner the Flame appears, Initially the flame come with an orange colour
which indicates incomplete burning. By regulating the volume switch the critical Burning point
is brought It takes 5 -10 seconds. pv sensor is adjusted its neutral POSITION
( Once the desured level is given to the system the system can maintain the critical burn- ing point with its electronic voltage / pressure sensor.
Main feature of the system :-
1. The operation is very simple like a Television Set operation.
2. Normal operation system is obtained when power is not available.
3. The system can save fuel, by 30%+ with the saving of cooking time 5 - 10% and
reduced air pollution.
4. The system can be operated for long time at a strtch more than 10 hours with 4 units.
Wth the power consumption = 10 Watts.

Con clution:- I have tried my best to devote my knowledge and 1abour to the system for saving L. P. G. and my effort will fixed on to the improvement of the system in future. Any type of suggession will be welcome from any end for its best results.

Background of the Invention of Electronic L.P.G Optimum Burning System
(Sensored & Auto).
From day to day ( thoraugh)observation & study on conventional L.P.G Burning System (IS-4246) I have experienced that the conventional System can not burn the total input L.P.G due to its some limitations. So question automatically arised in mind that how the limitation could be solved. Hence the idea/concept of Electronic L.P.G Optimum Burning System dreamed in my mind.

2)It has no arrangement of proper mixing of L.P.G & O2/Air,
3)It has no arrangement of Pressure Level maintaining.
4)It has no arrangement to recoup the L. P.G Temperature lost due to Adb: logs.
5)It has no arrangement to increase the L.P.G volume. 6)It can not increase the gas Jet Speed & Turbulent pIt has no blue flame control arrangement
